Compare this scene... to the 'Dry Bones' scene from The Singing Detective....or for Dancer In The Dark's court scene...with the court scene from Pennies From Heaven.
An incredible movie...more incredible due to the fact I have never like Bjork ever! Now I've seen this I have to revise that attitude...I can't possibly imagine anyone else playing this role. That aside...I think Von Trier just has to have been heavily influenced by Dennis Potter...the intercut musical scenes remind me so much of Potter's musical works...like The Singing Detective, Pennies From Heaven, Lipstick On Your Collar etc. Simply a stunning film.
I need to get this film :D I've watched some of it before but I never got to see the ending, I'm distraught! :O So, I'm going to watch it all the way through without any interruption
@1995chipmunk awesome ! how did she get to be one because like i want to be fameous and im 12 and like singing music not from the music every1 likes now like pop,rap etc.

I totally agree to the last comment by 1120apple. I watch it this pass Sunday for the first time and I could not turn. Bjork's voice is amazing. I have seen her on Saturday night and I must say she is very different. Love her style. The movie was very good although it was sad. This is a a purchase for me.
I have no Idea why , but I loved this movie. It brought an incredible sense of mortality to me. It made me realize how precious life is for some reason. It was late at night and I couldn't find the remote but soon I was somehow captivated by it.
