  • that's funny because most small aircraft can't operate in that kind of weather. anything below -25 is too severe. before you get all defensive I read this in the C172N P.O.H. So don't ask me ask Cessna

  • yeah...our cutoff was -30 for a 207 and -40 for a 208, 406, and 1900. op spec's usually will trump a poh if approved

  • then again, you are a professional pilot and i am just a student.

  • Eh.... we have preheaters and intake blankets/restrictors that help with that.

  • true enough, I life in Calgary so the coldest we get is about -40, sometime -50 if it's a really hard winter usually -30 on average
