  • What a cool song. Love hearing it. It's neat it was used in a commercial. Ron Wood's a killer!!!,... in a good way.

  • Way to go Ronnie. Live long and prosper!

  • Yikes.

  • Ronnie Lane song.

  • Awful!

  • This is a great song, and Wood is a talented guitarist. And when he recorded this song in the early 70s, his voice back then was not great, but it wasn't bad, and this song somehow fit it.

But after decades of heavy smoking, heavy drug use, and VERY heavy drinking (up to a litre of spirits a day, from what I've read), the abuse done to his body has clearly taken its toll on his voice. Until he really cleans up his act, he should decline from any singing.

  • @Weasler455

    says you.

  • @Weasler455 good job Rod sang it first?

  • Best non-Stones Stones song ever!

  • @jimwalsh2001 such a retarded comment. Just because it has Ronnie Wood in doesnt mean it was sung by him a year before he joined the Rolling Stones.

Jeff Beck was in the Yardbirds, but you never saw them in a band after!

  • check out 4:24....what an expretion!!!..

it would be wonderfull solo if he not in alcohol..

and give a credit for the backing vocals, they really2 cover ron voice..

  • Endorphins produced by music!

  • ron wood actually sang the original version with the faces

  • how drunk can you sound hahaha

  • best version ever, his scratchy voice give's it so much more depth.

  • god dam he sounds like shit!!!!!

  • Paol Carrack on Keyboards

  • He sounds like he's loads flem in his throat...

  • yeahhh........

  • Ronnie Lane on vocals would make this just perfect...he was the primary songwriter and always sang the best of this version...and I know Ron Wood would have been content with Ronnie singing this song with him playing lead guitar...

  • Embarrassing in the extreme...drunken fool!

  • @QueenReigns1 . Piss off queenie.

  • @medic357

That's a good comment..how long did it take you to think of that one?

  • @QueenReigns1

Omg i laughed my ass off..as i hear him starts singing....hahaha

  • @TheMusicchannel23 wots Queenie going to do now you've laughed your ass off? Its Ronnie singing about experience in life, with feeling and soul......something I imagine you'll never have :-)

  • @theolfella

Wtf you talkin..i covered this song..i was on rolling stones concert i m a musician and i love ronny wood..so why you talkin when you have no idea..

  • You all need to listen to the original more closely. It WAS Ronnie Wood on the original lead vocal from the Ooh La La album! (see Wikipedia for a start)

  • proud of you mate. love for u 2 play at my funurel wit your lady.proved them all wrong.recovering alcholic, rastamoon.

  • I love this

  • This is by Ron Wood and Ronnile (plonk) Lane.

  • Almost impossible to forget the words to OOH LA LA when you have done it some 500,000 times but for Ronnie it is totally forgivable. Forgivable because it now seems (due to another poster) that at 0:42 and 1:20-1:24 the goddess on the left is his daughter. Amazing how us males think, isn't it? Besides I met Ron in Florida at Woodies On The Beach back in 1987 and it ain't like he cares anyway. He came across as very humble, mellow and peaceful in the couple minutes we spoke. A+ in my book!

  • i like the scratchy voice it adds definition and deepness to the song the other version seem light and kinda snappy or popish, you know what i mean?

  • Not the best version..but he's still a Dude.......

  • i love how hes useing a gibson at a fender's 50th .. LMAO

  • Hallo, wo kann ich dieses Concert als DVD kaufen? Danke Arno

Hello, where i can bye this concert on dvd?

  • @samuijule are you fucking ill??? WHY..... in the name of arse would you want to buy this bollocks!!??? If you want buy DVD then buy "Ronnie Lane & the passing show" You will cry! You will wonder why & how Lane managed to do what he did on no money but with a passion in his belief! This footage is an insult & embarassment to the song & Lane's legacy! Wood is good as a band member but solo........NO! Stop!

  • Sorry! Simply one word to describe this........................SHIT!! What the fuck is going on here? Slaughtered!

  • Lucky Strike, anyone?

  • Ive said it before, This is the best Bob Dylan singing impersonation ever !

Don't get me wrong I love this more than you can ever know, Ron's a legend bigger than Texas one of my personal guitar Hero's. Check the Guitar and mandolin and probably even the Bass playing on the original 'Maggie May' as proof of some of his real talent. Gold Gold Gold . . .

  • wtf happened to him ohhhh drugs LOL

    he is so pissed

  • What a Fucking Ledgend ! :D

  • David Tennant + 30 Years = Ron Wood.

  • Nothing like playing in the STRAT pack on an acoustic. And a gibson at that. WTF

  • is it me? or does he sound like Randy Newman?

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • Nice live version. Though I will alwasys prefer co writter Ronnie Lane vocals on this. Best Song Faces (post Marriot Small Faces) did. Dont know why Rod Stewart thought this was too week for him to do. But maybe Rod has too much of an ego?

  • Simply the best version you could hope for. Totally off key, slurred through it, but it's his finest hour, its his song. Which means this is perfect.........

  • @petegonad long live ronnie, he`s sober these days i think , some people will live longer with alcohol in the blood :), lifes so stressful we all need that drug of choice to survive natural or not .

  • Comment removed

  • @petegonad I love this on so many levels. Rons a rocker in the true sense of rock n' roll smokes , drinks and drugs on top of that he plays his Gibson at a show paying tribute to Fender guitars . Saw him back in 72 with Rod and the Faces when he did this the crowd went nuts. With Ron what you see is what you get.

  • He's playing a Gibson at the 50th anniversary of the Stratocaster. Irony is delicious.

  • Add a flute player and no vocals.

  • he looks more and more keef every day-twin sons different mothers!

  • he is SHIT

  • Ron Wood is great! I don't know why a lot of people says wrong things about how Ron sings! He is a cool! And maybe his voice is not like Sinatra's or Mercury's voice but i like how he sings! So, It's only Rock And Roll! Or not?

  • Now you know why he picked up a guitar

  • i like that

  • why is donald duck singing this?

  • 4:44 the guy face behind ronnie jajaja

like "yeah moron, you shit it until the end

  • He sounds a bit like when foreign people try to sing english songs.

  • duet with Dylan?

  • what kind of keyboard could provide me the same sound the pianist organic stuff ?

  • The voice!LOL!!!!!

  • 12 packs a day?

  • @Yao482 not even close

  • The comments on this video made me laugh... A LOT!!

  • He is original unlike today's crap.

  • He is original unlike today's crap.

  • poor thing

  • @Putaspellonyou

    hey buddy, fuck you

  • Comment removed

  • okay- I love Ronnie Wood but I can certainly see why he was not the lead singer for the Faces, the Stones, or for ANY band, for that matter. Bless him. He really should stick to his hundreds of guitars :-D

  • thats what 30 years of crack does to you

  • PRICK!

  • sounds like dylan ,not bad at al

  • @heutsz73 ????????....If He sounds like Dylan, as you say He surely sounds bad!!...Dylan sounds like a mix between a sick dog and a foodprocesso.

  • Comment removed

  • Oh boy.

  • Great song, but what the HELL happened to his voice?

  • @queenkixass He's sounded like that since the 80's. Where have you been? Although it does sound like someone took a belt sander to his larynx.

  • @queenkixass cigarettes and alcohol

  • @hangmehigh11 ahhhh, that'll do it

  • sendo Ronnie o autor da música, ele pode cantar na hora q quiser, sóbrio ou bebado, ouve quem quer, mas eu gosto de Rod cantando, pena q ele ñ gravou a original, mas fez homenagem a Lane, e ficou lindo

  • Ronnie steps up to the mic, this should be great...oh no.

  • How many real rock and roll people left in the music businness. roll on Ronnie

  • Gawd, i love this! F@ck all you dingledorfs who diss this soulful voice. May you choke on something yucky.

  • sounds like he just had a Laryngectomy.

  • sounds like he just a Laryngectomy.

  • "I wish that I didn't smoke 3 packs of cigarettes a day, when I was younger." - Ronnie Wood

  • haha hell yeah!!! he sure does! HOBO haha

  • Who cares? Okay he sounds like an old drunk hobo, but he play's and sings with his soul

  • he is a gypsy and i am proud

  • listening to him made me start coughing

  • his voice tastes like diarreia with corn

  • Ok, great song... But Ronnie sounds like Randy Newman on crack, it's kinda sad

  • I Like it! It's Great;)

  • Ah Woody, don't ever grow up

  • As much as I love this guy does anyone else wonder how he is still alive?

  • new yearz thanks Ron 2011!

  • So cool ... greatest respect to this man

  • Yeah.. but the thing that he's playing with Gibson, maybe means that even the Gibson guitars celebrates the anniversary of the Fender ones. :)

  • Who's the woman in the black top singing with the backup singers? is she Ron's daughter? Wife?

  • @evanharnett I think it is Leah, his daughter.

  • Who's the woman in the black top singing with the backup singers? is she Ron's daughter? Wife?

  • Love this song when it plays at the end of Rushmore.... Love it.

  • his voice is alil sketchy but i really like its style.

  • anyone who can play this well drunk of his gord is alright with me. i am glad he didn't fall backwards

  • @scalihoo62 wait a second??? Are you saying my acoustic guitar that says Fender on it is a fake? Damn it! We need more smart people, like you, in this world...

  • @cobracarg learn how to read- it IS a Gibson.

  • @mcassano1 dude, i think you missed the whole point of the joke... dont you feel pretty smart now?

  • Paul Carrack on keyboards.

  • Phil Palmer in the background, The guitar Ronnie is playing is a Gibson Everly Brothers acoustic (with double pick guard) but as you say where the Strat!!!!

  • Sounds like shit. Guitar is great but for the love of god please stop singing.

  • que asco de musica,ya ni u2 son tan cuadrados, ahora eso ke es rock?jajaaj si claro,ke poca madre canta peor ke un ganzo agonizando

  • @scalihoo62 fender makes acoustic guitars?

  • That's "Wix" Wickens from Paul McCartney's Band on piano!

  • @scalihoo62 you're pretty sure?? so, you're definitely insane... google it!

  • This was embarrassing. A poster for staying sober.

  • Hammered!

    LOL.

  • 2 drunk 2 sing!

  • Am I right in thinking Ronnie wrote this???

  • @kim98060 that's a Wood/Lane composition

  • i love him..but dems cigarette's are screwing up his range so hard.

  • Post Faces.....I've seen Rod do it solo, I've seen Ronnie Lane do it solo and I think he would have loved to have lived long enough to see his old mate Ron croak it out .... Im gobsmacked at this rendition.

  • Post Faces.....I've seen Rod do it solo, I've seen Ronnie Lane do it solo and I think he would have loved to have lived long enough to see his old mate Ron croak it out .... Im gobsmackedat this rendition.

  • Ronnie is da man.

  • this is terrible

  • @ledford1077 Go fuck yourself you thoughtless bastard

  • Whenever I need a pick me up, I play this video.

  • i think ronnie lane might be unhappy hearing his composition put through the hay grinder here by mr. wood.

  • @roaringwaterbay ...

Wikipedia...' Ooh La La" is the title song to the album, a Faces song, written by Ronnie Lane and Ronnie Wood. It was Ronnie Wood, not Rod Stewart or Ronnie Lane, who sang the lead vocal for this song. Stewart did not think the song was up to his standards although both he and Lane recorded lead vocals for it. Their producer suggested Wood give it a try, and that's the version that was used for the track which appeared on the record, which was the Faces last studio album.'

  • @Zoogyltd and yes, u can knock his voice...easy target, I guess....but if thats all u have on the man, yer envy and short view on others is showing through.....what have u written lately?...........jeez

    * ..some people shouldn't judge others until they look at there own accomplishments...

  • @Zoogyltd yes that is wood on the LP --I have the LP and the liner notes say Ron Wood is on vocal-- But his voice thru yearsof drinking, smoking and yes, probably drugs, has destroyed any semblance of the original LP performance ---he should retire this live version and let the LP speak for itself!!

  • Embarassing

  • He has trouble singing when he isn't drunk.

  • "I wish that I knew all I know now, when I was sober". Does that make any sense?

  • @twinoak170 he said younger dip shit

  • @twinoak170 actually he said stonger

  • esto es una broma¡??esta TOCANDO Y CANTANDO EN SERIO???que poca madre jajajes el alex lora gringo

  • Definatley Drunk, live forever RONNIE!!!!

  • It wasn't Ronnie Wood who sang this on the Faces album "Ooh La La", it was Ronnie Lane. Give it a listen if you haven't already.

  • @watcher173 Sorry but actually you are incorrect. It WAS Ronnie Wood who sang this song.

  • Drunken sod.

  • Great shit!!

  • Bass: Pino Palladino. Guitars: Phil Palmer and Andy Fairweather

Quienes son ¿ el baterista , Piano y Keyboards?

  • O god he sounds like an angry drunken duck.... sooooo angry....

  • Ironically, Ron Wood sang the original Oh La La from the Faces LP. I had always thought it was Rod. This version tells me his voice is shot since those early days.

  • Omg he sounds like an old drunk hobo and still it sounds awesome!

  • @Dustehue928

    True!!! Lol

  • sweet version by ronnie for ronnie

  • I noticed the right nipple of the left back-up singer slip out , so there's that.

    The gee-tar, not so much.

But hey, you're you and I'm me.

  • Love the fact he's using a Gibson at a Fender show lol.

  • Poor old Grand dad .....is correct.

  • the coolest thing about this video is that ronnie is playing at the 50th anniversary of the fender stratocaster using a gibson acoustic guitar!!!!! and nobody here noticed that! live forever, ronnie

  • @derekthedomino Ha! I would have never noticed. Thats funny...

  • @derekthedomino AGREED! That was one of the first thing's we noticed!!! GOOD CALL, dude!

  • @derekthedomino That's like the big Gibson anniversary concert back in 93 when all these Les Paul Players like Slash and Zakk Wylde played Hendrix's Voodoo Child. Hah, they spelled it wrong too, but it was a cool jam. Just one of those wierd things

  • @derekthedomino

That is very funny, seeing as Ronny was basically a career Fender guy!?

The only guitar he ever plays, which isn’t a Fender, since the late 1960s, is one a friend of his built for him. He’s a Strat, Telecaster, Firebird guy…………..

Saying that, I watched him jamming with Keef once, on a TV show, on acoustics, and he was playing a Gibson then as well.

He must just not like Fender acoustics! Gibson’s must be better………..

  • @MrCeej9999 plays some japanese B bender guitar that is a lookalike tele... but not an actual tele

  • @derekthedomino fuck off man people like u disrespect music whats next his bulge isnt big enough through his 501 levies

  • @derekthedomino I think that in a way it's Gibson saying Happy Birthday to Fender

  • hahaha....he's hammered!

  • OMG! 1:40 in part "the dressing rooooooms are grey" using the "Falsetto"! What a Genius! Sounds so good, no kidding. How Rod "the mod" and Ronnie Lane never think about sing this way before??? Thanks for this funny but amazing version Wood. Respect from brazil.

  • hA! pINO! And Ronnie's voice? What voice? :D Now he's the man, playing Gibson at a Fender gig. Love him!

  • I don't know what it is but I love this version so much. Even though Ronnie sounds a bit like a retarded guy, he brings the right feel and emotion to this amazing song. Would have been nice if the Stones gave him a greater opportunity to add his creativity to the band. Maybe he wouldn't have been Ronnie would if he could had the band let him spread his wings a bit. True, he wasn't Mick Taylor but very few are. He's still a tremendously talented guitar player and artist. Timeless

  • See what smoking can do to your voice!! This should be on an anti smoking ad!

  • @SpaceJoon Your Mother should be an anti LSD ad as well as the three holer that she is. You piece of shit

  • This is the reason why Ron Wood was never a frontman. Journeyman guitarist, really.

  • Jesus how fucked up is he?
