Those darn death flowers. You'd think they'd be useful, until you forget your elder Sim has one and is brought back. I kept waiting and waiting for my elder Sim to die and when he finally did, he pulled out that dang flower. He did it too me twice, so I killed him the old fashioned way-- by cheating.
