It must must be 40 years since I last heard this... it's so familiar, and I remembered all the lyrics. It doesn't really sound very 1960's/70's, does it?
As a kid who grew up in Chicago, I was given this 45 rpm record for my birthday in February 1971. Gimmie Dat Ding was great but, To Love You was my favorite song!!
To this day, I love that song. I have sung it to my wife as best I could... There just aren't many great love songs like To Love You.
It seems to have come from the heart.
Thanks for placing it here for us to hear once again.
@geoyahn -- Thanks for the comment! "To Love You" is certainly a 180 degree turn from the rest of what the Pipkins recorded. This song has heart!
I shared this with my wife after we married and it's one of her favorites too. I wonder how well this would have done if they had released this separately....
@RecordWarped Again, thanks for your kind post. I think this is pure Tony Burrows. He has an awesome voice. and yes, almost a different genre from the rest of the Pipkins' material.

@francis2811 --- Thanks for the comment! The sound is timeless. It could be very well be re-made today with simple acoustic production.
