No not at all. Its like putting the brakes on in ur car, You just slow down. Then when you spring back up you feel weightless. Its amazing!

Just make sure you don't do it off a crane at a uni freshers week or something. Doing it in a valley with a river below makes the experience so much better. Feels more real
