Furthermore the "haunted and cursed" plot is usually how stories there are told. Its like jack the ripper or jason voorhees (dont deny it because he's had over 5 movies spanning 3 decades). Haters gonna Hate.

If you did a little research some of you would know that the pale long-haired ghost has been common in japanese history. Even in theater, that type of ghost is/was well known.

@claustrophobic1234 the girls with long black hair and pale skin are from ancient japanese theatre (on stages). The woman and many of the men used to have very long black hair, and to distinguish the ghosts in the play from the other actors, they would be painted white! So that is why in alot of asian horror movies, the ghosts look similar :) hope that helps!

I'm actually really sick of little girls with long black hair in J and K horror, along with themes like "the haunted this" and "the cursed that." Where can I find more movies like Marebito, a Tale of Two Sisters, or Vital? Something original and shocking?

@lala22k2 The thing about the girls with the long black hair and pale skin actually originates way back because of some woman called Ora I think. :/ It does get a little boring to see a ton I guess. But still...Better than most American horror movies. I would choose and Asian movie over an American movie any day. :x But yeah, I do agree with you. I kind of prefer psychological horrors though. :/ Movies about curses I like a lot too. There are a lot of movies about haunted buildings though.....
