  • SEXY hahahaha in the beginning!! :D I LOVE THIS DRUM COVER!!

  • zeker nice cover

    ik zit bij muziekverening:D

  • Nice drumming dude. By the way, you should check out my drum covers, I covered Darkness Surrounding by Avenged Sevenfold. I've been playing for 15 years and this is good drumming.

  • loved 0:17!

  • sick edidting...no really made me sick....jk jk very very good and well keep it up..

  • It looks like your just messing around but somehow you manage to get a rape-age cover!

  • gingers do have souls!!! maar deze is gewoon kanker grappig om naar te kijken.. je doet alleen af en toe dingen met duble bass tewijl het gewoom met normale kan..

  • Very nice cover. Liked the bass variation you did starting around 3:20

  • i liked ur open-hand style, and great job, drums sound amazing.

  • man your great did u take lessons?

  • @TheWillcollins Thank you! Yes, I've been playing for 12 years now and I've had lessons al the time except for last year, but I want to take lessons again. Oh yeah, and I gave lessons too.

  • Awesome Cover Man, Keep drumming and just to say that i really like your style too! =]

  • damn !

    that was fckin great :D

especially the laughing part AHAHAHAH !!!

  • What kind of drumset is that? I assume Tama, since you mention the stock Tama heads, but what series?

Also, good job on this one! :)

  • Thanks!

The set is a Thunder, 10/12/14/20b

But the snare is a Tama Starclassic Performer B/B 14*5.5.

Half March my dream comes true: a 6pc. Tama starclassic! =)

  • Sorry, I forgot to read the whole description before asking, and it didn't seem like my comment was saved... :)

Anyway, it sounds ridiculusly good! Are you using alot of compression/reverb/etc in post proc?

I have a simpler Imperialstar kit (was released early 2009) and threw some pinstripes on it.

It sounds okay, but not close to this. :s

  • Haha, it's ok.

Thanks. I like the sound of it but it could be much better. So a friend of mine checked it out and tuned it really nice. It sounds a lot better than on this video now.

In this video, I recorded the drums trough a behringer mixer direct on my pc.

That's all! Nothing tweeked or produced.

Except fot the effects in the soung, but I did those excessively (part before 2nd verse).

  • rofl at the laugh part

  • Sounds great but on video your snare is not very agressive,it is kinda weak more snares than pop. Not being negative just trying to give an honest opinion. Everything else is great love the bass licks.

  • Thanks! =)

I tuned the snare, now it has a lot more power, much brighter sound, clear strike, warm resonance.

  • try to rimshot the snare it sounds alot louder and better

  • U KICK ASS! DO DOWN WITH THE SICKNESS!

  • lol :16! epic man! xD please make more covers you are the best!

  • hey can u do a down with the sickness cover

  • OH SWEET COVER!! btw what kind of heads are you using for the toms.....?

  • uhm...

The Remo Pinstripes on the toms, and a stock Tama head by Evans.

  • OH...Cool!! pinstripes on batter and stock heads resonant side.....

  • Where do you practice? (great vid btw :D)

  • Thanks! In my studio at home (Appingedam) or in the studio at the cultural centre of my university in Delft.

  • Crazy... What kind of mics do you have? What head do you have on your snare?

  • You can find my mics under 'more info'.

The head on the snare is a stock evans head that comes on the Tama snare

  • are you right handed or left handed?

  • I'm right handed

  • why do you play open handed then?

  • When I was young I sneaked behind the drumkit of a friend and jammed away with Linkin Park.

I just banged along and I played open because I didn't knew any technique.

And when I really began to play drums, that single day behind the kit determined my open playing.

But through the years, I've learned to play both ways but I prefer open handed. (more technique on my right -> snare; and it's more powerfull)

  • haha alright but wouldnt you want your hihat to be more powerful so that it doesnt get overpowered by the snare?ee

  • if u think ur high hat is overpowing ur snare turn ur snare stick over so your holding the head....the bottom end is thicker...thus creating a bigger sound u can do it for either you need

  • Good tip, thanks!

I've tried it for some time, but it hurts because I've bad grip due to the thin end. It shocks really hard in my hand when I strike...

Maybe I've got to try those straight timbale sticks...

  • Just wondering, how much money did you spend on mics for you set?

    Great vid btw

  • Thsnks!!!

    ghegheghe,

I've lend those mic from a friend.

But all the mics together, you'll spend about 1000 euro, for only the mics...

  • sounds better than the real song!

  • love how you sing along wit it...it proves you love what your doing and jus not doin it jus to show off or somethin

haha keep rockin it dude you got serious skill

  • oh yeah, and awesome video effects man!

  • dude, that was unbelievable. i learned to play this song on my set by watching this video. i give a 26 out of 5! XD

  • on your toms, those are remo pinstripes batter, correct? and what as resonant?

    also great cover. 5*

  • ghe ghe, good question.

    Batterside remo pinstripe.

And the resonant heads are the stock Thunder heads.

With new heads from let's say remo, I think the sound would be dramatic improved....

  • good cover but you need to use better heads, its easier to get a good tone out of pinstripes but a little more time tuning with normal clear emperors open up the sound much more

  • This was a very nice video. Small mistakes but would totally go unnoticed throughout most people. If you don't mind, I'm just trying to help you become even better, you slow down occasionally when they speed up. Kinda noticeable if you listen to the song a lot. Keep drumming because you are very good at it.

  • his set is a ton better than mine. i like his set. :)

  • ur drum set isnt the best but u still kick ass

  • he deserved to have a better drumset, this guy got skill.

  • that's the perfect drumset for him :D itll help him get anything he wants with those mad skills.

  • wreed !

  • Daaaan nice:D!!

  • Damn! That was awesome, I love your version.

  • geil nur du hälst die stick komisch
