This isn't your typical "scary movie". It's more of a phycological mystery that you're trying to solve. It's very well done, and I really suggest it to everyone. I've never met someone who hasn't liked the first movie, which is something I think everyone should see at some point.

Am I the only one to think that Aiden is even creepier than Samara?

Some things in this movie do not make sence. For example, the girl who dies in the beginning acts like she doesn't know about the curse or at least has forgotten about it and then she dies, but according to Aiden she knew all along that she was going to die. And how could there be an entire circle of light? In that case the lid must be smaller than the well and fall into it. I really like the movie but I just don't get it.

Her hair is like that cos it's a copy of sadako from the japanese movie who in turn is a humanization of a japanese spectre called an Onryō who's characteristics are taken in the form of Sadako/Samara.

I like Ringu better than The Ring. The Ring fails in creating the quiet atmosphere, composed of moderate use of BGM, intervals between scenes, and eeriness that makes your fresh crawl, that makes Ringu so chilly and creepy. The Ring has many needless action scenes with horses and screaking cars that are unfit for the Ringu-kind of creepiness. Samara seems not so much a sad girl who turned evil as some kind of creature that was innately evil. Simply put, The Ring is too much Americanized.

...and the Japanese "ju-On"-series is much scarier then "Ringu", "The Ring" and the american "The Grudge". That's my opinion:P
