great video but i want to correct one small thing. on the picking part try this instead: the D and A string parts are correct but since you play this in standard tuning opposed to drop D, on the E string try third fret, first fret then open D string. it sounds exactly how i play it in drop D. sorry i couldnt explain it easier but besides that man i love all of your videos.

actually i was watching the hank jr. video and instead of the G-chord in the intro he plays a D-chord moved up 3 frets so the E and G strings are on the 5th fret and the B string is on the 6th fret

I'm sure you know but Ol' Hank tunes down to a drop-D on this tune. It gives it that extra balls when playing the D chord and strumming all the strings. Aslo for the part you're teaching at 1:40, if you end that with an open D chord on the low end it sounds way better. well it does to me,

Hey Bob, Thanks for the comment, I do realize this song is in dropped D and the chord formations would be D, Am7, back to like (xx0545) and back to a D, this is a beginners lesson so I tried to stay away from the dropped D tuning and the new chord shapes, so this is not meant to be exactly like the original.
