Ruiz wasnt great but he was tough, brave and always turned up to win no matter who he fought, he wasnt scared to travel abroad nor ducked anyone, on top of it all he was a good man who respected others in the sport

I agree with everything you said... except for when you said "holy was at his peak" Holyfield was NOT at his peak when Ruiz got him, but take nothing away from Ruiz, he's had a very good career. He's one of the more successful heavyweights of his era, and I like his chances in his fight against David Haye. Plus, he's been working with a new trainer the last couple years & has worked on "getting back to the basics"...he's more of a puncher lately...a little less "boring" than he used to be.

It really hurt him in the eyes of the fans while it made him a champ. I think he beat Valuev and deserved a shot at the title eliminator over Lyakhovich, but such boxing politics. He'll definitely make a good keeper of the gate along with Brewster and Briggs even if he never gets a title again. He'd test anyone.

Promoters don't want to touch him because the majority of the boxing public doesn't like his punch, grab, and hold style, even if it has proven successful. You can tell how popular Ruiz is by all the empty seats in the arena. Ruiz is the worst thing ever for boxing. I loved how he got schooled by two middelweights and I loved his excuses when he lost. He blamed the ref for not letting him fight and the other lost on steroid use (for a legit injury)
ruiz is underrated as fukk and shouldnt even be a heavyweight... he was robbed in germany twice .. ruiz is punching harder then ever .. and looks damn good in this fight
But you forgot to mention that Ruiz is a 2 times world heavy weight champion, and the Ruiz is the firs Latino to do it in the history of boxing, how you like them apples.
