  • Subbed. Great videos with suberb tracking shots. Check out the Kent & North Wales Light Railway for what this scale can look like indoors - and with light steam!

  • The best way to enjoy the summertime and the garden, a G-scale Railway.

  • those lit up coaches at 2:23 are just too cool.

  • i'm looking to build a g scale railway.

any idea on how much it costs to start and any suggested starting engines?

  • Thank you! I love to watch it go around but not have to build the track and buy all the parts! I'm sure it would be fun to build one though, if I had time.

  • Outstanding night action !!

  • I guess 7 people got motion sickness...

  • This railway is amazing, you should be very proud of your selfs, FANTASTIC!

  • is that live stem 4:39

  • very beatiful

  • cool

  • What kind of camera gives you that smooth steadicam look? I want the train, but I want the camera more! ;-)

  • ABSOLUTELY AMAZING ! ! ! YOU HAVE AN INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL RAILROAD . I LOVE YOUR SELECTION OF ENGINES . I AM FROM OREGON , AND VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC DAYLIGHT # 4449 ; IT IS BASED HERE IN PORTLAND , AT THE BROOKLYN YARDS ROUNDHOUSE . IF YOU GET A CHANCE ; TRY TO OBTAIN A DVD COPY OF " THE HOBBY RUN AMUCK " . HE HAS CREATED A 7 1/2 " SCALE , PRIVATE OUTDOOR LAYOUT ; HERE IN THE BEAUTIFUL STATE OF OREGON
  • Wow, Wow, and Wow! You did a great job. I bet your back yard sounds like a railray museum.

  • what were those awesome passenger cars called?

  • Hi, do you know anywhere where you can get the coaches at 2:35?

  • Sweet! I just got my first G Scale locomotive. Rio Grande 464.

  • How much is the track? how much for foot?

  • Hi Steamaddict1603 The train you were asking about is made by L.G.B. trains a european based G-Scale train maker that one you are asking about is about in the 400-600 U.S. dollar price range overall that engine is a very good train. Hope this helps!

  • Especially impressive at night.

  • Is all of this MTH?

  • The Lighted Passenger Cars... Love It!

  • Too Cool!!! Nice Work!

  • I loved the 4-8-8-4 but i'm an HO Sclae NMRA member totally devoted to steam. could you give me the manufacturer of the 0-6-6-0 and the last locomotive pulling the night time passenger train for a freind of mine who loves G Scale?

  • Hi! Beautiful!! Can you please tell me the manufacturer of the first steam engine, the one pulling the passenger train, and the sound system used? The chuffing sound is fantastic. The big boy chuff did not sound NEARLY as realistic as the first little steam engine! Thank you for posting and any information you could lend.

  • Fantastic layout. I think the night time show is great

  • Suuuuper !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Mike aus Germany

  • ii wanna get G scale, but its too damn expensive

  • hey that Big Boy loco #4004 is on display in Cheyenne,Wyoming USA

  • nice big boy steam train. one thing that HO gauge has that G doesn't have are more diesel trains. I personally am a HO gauge person.

  • No way!!

Id never even heard of G gauge till now!!

  • 00 all the way! this, while it looks good, isnt that pratical, too much space needed and i bet a pain in the neck if you decide to move. i way prefer 00!

  • is that a 1900 articulated in the start or no just wondering. N scale model railroader

  • excellent video work!

  • i like the caboose right after the U.P. in the one shot!

  • how wide are the track in inches just courioius

  • I love the sound on those G scales, you luckers with your big speakers.... wish us HO guys could get that kind of sound.

  • Pretty cool track! It is nice. BTW, I like your Big Boy engine. I will get a G scale but for now I sit and run an HO scale. I like the lighted insides. Not bad :)

  • When I'm 65 and twice-divorced I will have a layout like this.

Until then I stay young and model in N 8-)

  • Great video & trains the night runs are awuesome.

  • Great video!!! How did you handle the camera? On a rail or something?

  • Camara was hand held....and you didnt see the out takes.

  • G-Scale is the way to go!

    Go big or go home!

  • is that bog boy really 100lbs?

  • where do you get the sound gear for the trains? great trains by the way soo much detail. 10/10

  • The Big Boy comes with the sound fitted as does the Mallet, although it is LGB 'Generic' sound not actually a Mallet. The Diesel has a Sierra sound system that was bought and fitted by the shop when new. I think a company called Phoenix does them now.

  • What if it rains?

  • Its time for tea!!

  • how much did you pay for Bigboy 4004?

  • Bought new from USA for £650 plus £125 customs and postage. A superb loco and worth every penny. Our Challenger can be seen on our new video G Scale Mad 2.

  • @aecregal I'm surprised it wasnt more 650 pounds is like $1300 right? and plus 250 is $1550

  • @aecregal The REAL #4004 is in Cheyenne,WY USA on display =)

  • great vid!

  • garden railways r awesome but i only have a 8ft x 16ft backyard

  • HMMMM my son doesn't NEED to go to college. Screw it, I'm building a new layout like that one!!

  • lol

  • the night shot were great.

  • i like the big boy and the 0-6-6-0 loco.

  • great video.

  • Us OO/HO modelers would love to gave something like that.

Just put of with the ridicules prices!!!!!

  • very very cool and realistic u can almost ride on those trains

  • Where'd you get the Big Boy?

  • The Big Boy is made by MTH Rail-King and was bought by post from the USA. It is quite easy to obtain one but they need alot of space and a 10amp power supply. A wonderful loco and very impressive pulling power.

  • AWSOME night shots! Wish I could afford that instead of just HO!

  • on the steam engine at the begining

    1. was it LGB

    2. was it a sepprate sound card from the original purchased train.

3.how expensive would it be to buy?

  • LGB Mallet and is complete with sound when bought. Costs around £500 on ebay and available in other colours.

  • thanks! thats usefull, i am converting 2acres of land into a giant layout!

  • As a fellow garden railroader, I'd have to say your layout, though under construction, is AWESOME!

    Dan

  • Great video. The diesel UP engine #9580 is a real engine number that I see when I drive on Hwy 99 here in central CA so this vid means real trains to me. Next time i see it i will take a pic with my digital camera for you..

  • Wow, great vid, love the night shot. wish i can play with your train.

  • Beautiful night shots

  • your SVRR track

  • Nice carriages, what make are they ?

  • The passenger carriages are LGB 32650, although two came with the Mallet loco as a limited edition set...the freight cars are scratchbuild, Aristocraft and LGB.

  • Astounding railway must have taken a while to complete

  • The railway is still under construction and is currently extended through the woods in the background, and will grow as we afford the track! Little or no scenery is added apart from the basic station. So far it has taken five years but its a hobby so time doesnt matter.

  • Fantastic shots and great sound! More please!
