@RyansFuzz It´s plexi glass, so that the sound of the drums doesn´t interfere with other instruments. It´s especially used on smaller stages as the space between the mic´s is a lot smaller.

@Diomen No, I hear it a little as well. They both have that Bmin to F# sequence for the harmonic minor flavor. The chords are somewhat different, though. HC is Bmin--F#7--Asus2--E9--G--D--Em­in7--F#7. This is largely Bmin--A--G--F#, tuned down a half-step with a low Bb and not counting the fills. The very ending lick on the album sounds extremely jazzy, both in feel and tone.
