I went up to Lehigh last week to see the Eagles in training camp. At one point, I was going to take a picture of Sean McDermott coaching on the field since I played football against him in HS. Just as I took the picture, I noticed the painted JJ tribute was in the background almost watching over them. I knew right then the Jim Johnson is still with us, if not in body, but in spirit. RIP Coach Johnson. Thank you for the wonderful memories and many blitzes! God Bless!

As the man who single-handedly revived the Eagles organization from the defensive side of the ball, Jim Johnson was one of the greatest defensive coordinators that ever graced the fields of the NFL. Coaches have credited him with getting their start because of him.

With his great blitz schemes, he irritated offenses around the NFL sending them scratching their heads in the film room afterward.
