while i will gladly give due credit for a noble film-making experiment, i would deem it a failed one. Agreed - the music and the visuals function in sync. However, it is my opinion that the song would have been better served by slowing down the visuals and highlighting the physical beauty of oxford, ohio in contrast with the speed of the song, rather than trying to keep up with it.
@geegee1848 I am not a film expert, but I disagree on the fail. I have never heard this song before and I have got to say, without this vid, I probably would have stopped listening.
@TheAverageCanadian cool. that's one of the best parts of art - it is to each their own. I probably shouldn't have used the word 'fail' in the first place - it's a great effort. cheers.
@geegee1848 Your point about the pace is still a valid one. I wonder how much that would change the vibe of the song? Do you happen to take film studies?
@TheAverageCanadian i took a few courses in university, but in no way an expert. I suppose I approach the video already having listened and appreciated the song, and that's why I have preconceived notions of how an accompanying film would appear. But it is a cool vid no doubt and credit to my friend abufstar. Cheers from Ottawa
if you try to imagine a scene on Venus or Mars, you might think of a plant shaped like grass, the size of a tree, colored like the sky, with a flower like a cat's head, having eyes like a bee and feelers like a snail. Do you understand me?
@czech698 i enjoyed that. i'm thinking of a shimmering planet made of diamonds where bees as large as light bulbs fight with swords. they have exceptional manners too. the sky is black.
Great video - captures the spirit of this song. Your work deserves to be examined on a higher level then the vast majority of the stuff you see on you tube.
great video that matches this awesome song. I love Robert Fripp's solo in this song. it's one of his personal favorites as well. he himself said it's his most melodic solo.
If u r reading this, then u will find a dead bloody body hanging in ur closet. U will be haunted and killed by her. to stop it posti this to 6 other videos in 30 GOOD LUCK
The video is nice, it's a good first effort. I do however take notice of the fact that the trees are bare, and would likely be full of leaves during a "blue August moon", unless it's southern Australia ;)
Hey, you did a great job with the video. It goes with the song well. If you interested, check out my video page to see my even more amateurish rendition & video for this song.
Yeah that Fripp solo is just fine.........Most likely done in the carefree spirit of those tymes (Just Wing It a Few Tymes) and we'll keep one of the takes. If it sounds good LEAVE IT.
Nice. The video captures the music very well- it's surprisingly similiar to the images that get painted in my mind whenever I listened to this song. Great job.
Wow, what memories, this song! Oh well - another 30 years under my wheels, whatever, can't be helped. Maybe the very best of Fripp and Eno - Another Green World. Super vid you've made and set to it! Great to hear again - thanks so much for posting this timeless beauty!
Great song and nie video to go with it. I have not look at this album in my collection in years. Anyone know if that is Fripp on guitar or is it Eno playing guitar like Fripp. I like Eno but he and Gabriel plus Fripp get tedious as former university student smarties.
oh dont be so harsh- very little if any talent like his about now- this album and another green world are favs- here come the warm jets and apollo- most cool and speak of a time gone by but never forgotten
Eno's music is so evocative, and not only his ambient work, that it does seem odd there are so few videos made using his work. Copyright issues aside, I wonder how Eno, Fripp, et al would feel about amateurs putting images to their music. It would be great to see more visual interpretations from others, as well.
That little Frippster has to be from another planet. He is so unique, yet so identifiable with his sound. His soloing can be so fast but never feel frenzied-and his solos ALWAYS match the songs perfectly. I know this is an Eno song, but Fripp really makes this tune what it is. Anyone agree? If not, it won't hurt my feelings, because I'm a HUGE Eno fan as well.
Davism, for me this song is one of the reasons why "Fripp & Eno" is so much more than the sum of "Fripp" & "Eno". It's always a treat when they mess with each other's stuff!
I agree - this song is my favorite by Fripp and Eno or either of them solo. Fripp's solo is not only technically a virtuoso piece but it complements the song beautifully and is melodic in its own right; the virtuosity is a bonus, not for its own sake, and not the main reason for its beauty.
I was fortunate to attend a presentation by him and his sister, and he comes across as a very thoughtful and humble person. Also very dedicated and disciplined regarding his art.
Great work and I love Brians music. So can you give me any net links or info on how I should do one of these videos with a digital camera on still mode? Mostly how do you process all the photos and get them in order?

Thx for posting. This has always been my favorite cut by Eno. Never associated the song w/this topography/imagery various times when I'd tripped out to it, but found it compelling nonetheless.
Awesome video, beautifully done! Not the images I'd originally associated with this tune, but now I've got yours in my head.
