  • Awesome video, beautifully done! Not the images I'd originally associated with this tune, but now I've got yours in my head.

  • one of the best guitar solos EVER!

  • great video !

  • This song reminds me of the fall for some reason :)

  • Kinda tripping balls. Sick.

  • i put this on, closed my eyes, and i was fifteen again smoking green smoke-stone rocky... it brought a tear to my eye. thanks for that moment uploader!

  • What a great interpretation!

  • Frippatronics sends us

  • SPLITTING IONS IN THE ETHER!!!

  • Guitar solo :)

  • CARUSSELTOUJOURS!

  • This is better, this a good composition, brings back memories of blue meanies, and pot!

  • Fave lyrics "We saw St Elmo's fire splitting ions in the ether"

  • Nice work

  • Excellent film making! Excellent music!

  • this is thoroughly magnificent

  • This song sounds like it came out just yesterday...wow.

  • excellent job.

  • Great film for a great song

  • while i will gladly give due credit for a noble film-making experiment, i would deem it a failed one. Agreed - the music and the visuals function in sync. However, it is my opinion that the song would have been better served by slowing down the visuals and highlighting the physical beauty of oxford, ohio in contrast with the speed of the song, rather than trying to keep up with it.

  • @geegee1848 I am not a film expert, but I disagree on the fail. I have never heard this song before and I have got to say, without this vid, I probably would have stopped listening.

  • @TheAverageCanadian cool. that's one of the best parts of art - it is to each their own. I probably shouldn't have used the word 'fail' in the first place - it's a great effort. cheers.

  • @geegee1848 Your point about the pace is still a valid one. I wonder how much that would change the vibe of the song? Do you happen to take film studies?

  • @TheAverageCanadian i took a few courses in university, but in no way an expert. I suppose I approach the video already having listened and appreciated the song, and that's why I have preconceived notions of how an accompanying film would appear. But it is a cool vid no doubt and credit to my friend abufstar. Cheers from Ottawa

  • @geegee1848 Cool, thanks for the discussion. Cheers.

  • You may not believe what this song REALLY means. Find out at the blog SongSense.info. Seriously, I'm not trying to sell anything.

  • I like the way you paced the video, congratz

  • Whoa ! , time speed vid and this awesome track.. Ohio ? what a great surprise ! Pax Et Lux. Gypsy

  • good job, even better knowing its oxford!

  • 'amazing' is an understatement of this music

    its too great for words

  • if you try to imagine a scene on Venus or Mars, you might think of a plant shaped like grass, the size of a tree, colored like the sky, with a flower like a cat's head, having eyes like a bee and feelers like a snail. Do you understand me?

  • @czech698 i enjoyed that. i'm thinking of a shimmering planet made of diamonds where bees as large as light bulbs fight with swords. they have exceptional manners too. the sky is black.

  • @pandasforpesos I'll hit that doobie too...

  • 'Another Green World' is SUCH a great album!!! If you haven't heard it, listen to 'Sombre Reptiles' and 'The Big Ship'. Classic Eno (+ Fripp).

  • hi from mexico , more than a song is piece of art...

  • The high point of Eno's and Fripp's collaboration.

  • did you just fastforward it or did you do it at a certain frame rate?

  • Love Fripp's guitar

  • Nice Video. Very Eno-esque!

  • where is this place? looks calm and beautiful

  • oxford, ohio, usa

  • '5' was too short comment by YouTube, so I type my rating which was the first number of this comment...;)

  • well done n i love eno i have all his music once again well done

  • Great video - captures the spirit of this song. Your work deserves to be examined on a higher level then the vast majority of the stuff you see on you tube.

  • nice vid! goes very well with the song

  • Great video. I like it.

(Another Green World is one of my favourite albums ever)

  • dis video is pretty cool like i was hoping for the whole time some scary monster wont come out but loollll its cool bro

  • i think this is great!

  • great video that matches this awesome song. I love Robert Fripp's solo in this song. it's one of his personal favorites as well. he himself said it's his most melodic solo.

  • i loved this video! just brilliant for this (great) song which i know well. Brilliant!

  • cool catchy song. great guitar licks. Thanks to the poster (and to Eno and also the musicians, of course)

  • This is the work of genious both Eno and abufstar

  • Throw*

  • yes

  • Did you through the camera up in the air?

  • Always felt there was something very Mike Oldfield about Robert Fripps Tone on this. Superb video!

  • quante canne .......

  • Robert Fripp on 'Desert Guitar'.....peacefully roaring away.

  • Very nice job on one of my favorite songs from graduate school days (got a kid in college now!).

  • i really love this song. and stereolab(uilab) version is good.

  • Robert Fripp on guitar, right?

  • yep

  • The guitar work is just crazy compared to the soothing vocals and melody. Great stuff! Good job on the video.

  • been feelin this song in my heart for years... of course its one of my favorites as well

  • One of my favorite songs of all time...

The video is nice, it's a good first effort. I do however take notice of the fact that the trees are bare, and would likely be full of leaves during a "blue August moon", unless it's southern Australia ;)

  • cool vid!

  • one of the best songs ever. glad someone made a video to it. and we saw st elmo's fire....

  • I fell as a rider following a fallen leave that doesn't knows were the music will lead it..

  • nice! I bet you got a goo workout from gettin all that footage huh? lol

  • haha, yes, that was a fun day.

  • Hey, you did a great job with the video. It goes with the song well. If you interested, check out my video page to see my even more amateurish rendition & video for this song.

  • Yeah that Fripp solo is just fine.........Most likely done in the carefree spirit of those tymes (Just Wing It a Few Tymes) and we'll keep one of the takes. If it sounds good LEAVE IT.

  • ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!!!............I remember my older brother having this on cassette way way back when............

    AWESOME WORK GOING ON HERE!!!!!

  • yeah good video eno and fripp at there best its evocative as a memory remembered at the end of a life gets me everytime

  • Fripps solo in this track is genius!! still blows my mind

  • Great video work. And to one of my most loved songs. Great mix

  • another green world forever

  • Nice. The video captures the music very well- it's surprisingly similiar to the images that get painted in my mind whenever I listened to this song. Great job.

  • I think of this as being in the endless shores of the American Northeast...but if it's in Scotland, in (almost) September...wow...............

  • a beautiful video for a great song.

  • My favorite part is when the solo starts. Perfect editing there.

  • The BEST Fripp and Eno piece ever!

  • Wonderfully done!

  • nice job man!!!

  • i really appreciated it!

  • Very enjoyable. Great effort, made my day.

  • Wow, what memories, this song! Oh well - another 30 years under my wheels, whatever, can't be helped. Maybe the very best of Fripp and Eno - Another Green World. Super vid you've made and set to it! Great to hear again - thanks so much for posting this timeless beauty!

  • interesting interpretation of a wonderful song!

  • Really great video work. Goes with the music and a great piece it is. One of my favorite Eno songs. Fripp is awesome.

  • Can't agree more.

My favourite Eno song and my favourite Fripp solo. His virtuosity is amazing.

    They complement each other perfectly.

    I like the video too.

  • Marvellous

  • Marvellous

  • I usually don't like home made music videos, but this one really fits with the song. I think you understand the song. Good work!

  • Incomprehensible beautiful guitar solos and vocals combined!

  • it isn't realy god but

it ought to be, to me

    I mean: Extraordinary Natural Overhealer

  • eno=god, in Irish

  • is it really god in gaelic?

  • No....

Don't know where calmcalm got that from, the Irish for God is Dia....

  • BEST SONG EVER!

  • robert fripp's best solo

  • Great song and nie video to go with it. I have not look at this album in my collection in years. Anyone know if that is Fripp on guitar or is it Eno playing guitar like Fripp. I like Eno but he and Gabriel plus Fripp get tedious as former university student smarties.

  • oh dont be so harsh- very little if any talent like his about now- this album and another green world are favs- here come the warm jets and apollo- most cool and speak of a time gone by but never forgotten

  • Great video, Good work

  • i really like this video.

  • Beautiful song...good attempt at a video, but i think that person had green eyes in the beginning! It says Brown Eyes damn you!

  • Great Job! The video response is good too.

  • Uninteresting Home Video Wants To Hitch Hike On A Little Masterpiece...

i have nothing bad to say about your videos.

  • Do what ever you like, as long as you have fun. Did you see this?

    raphdub

Thats what i call a good inter action between sound and vision.

    All the best

  • sometimes people like to give a point of view to some music. that is all, mind-closed the video isnt shabby at all. dont bore

  • love the song love the vid

  • awsome vid, it fits perfectly, keep up the good work.

  • very good visual representation of the disoriented feeling i get listening to Another Green World.

  • verrryyy good visuals/editing. great song. taaaanx!

  • Very fun. Great use of low res.GREAT SONG

    More!?

  • Eno's music is so evocative, and not only his ambient work, that it does seem odd there are so few videos made using his work. Copyright issues aside, I wonder how Eno, Fripp, et al would feel about amateurs putting images to their music. It would be great to see more visual interpretations from others, as well.

  • That little Frippster has to be from another planet. He is so unique, yet so identifiable with his sound. His soloing can be so fast but never feel frenzied-and his solos ALWAYS match the songs perfectly. I know this is an Eno song, but Fripp really makes this tune what it is. Anyone agree? If not, it won't hurt my feelings, because I'm a HUGE Eno fan as well.

  • Davism, for me this song is one of the reasons why "Fripp & Eno" is so much more than the sum of "Fripp" & "Eno". It's always a treat when they mess with each other's stuff!

  • I agree - this song is my favorite by Fripp and Eno or either of them solo. Fripp's solo is not only technically a virtuoso piece but it complements the song beautifully and is melodic in its own right; the virtuosity is a bonus, not for its own sake, and not the main reason for its beauty.

I was fortunate to attend a presentation by him and his sister, and he comes across as a very thoughtful and humble person. Also very dedicated and disciplined regarding his art.

  • Great work and I love Brians music. So can you give me any net links or info on how I should do one of these videos with a digital camera on still mode? Mostly how do you process all the photos and get them in order?

    Thanks for any info.

  • Not to shabby for 31 years ago. What where you listening to? Bobbie Fripp burns the rubber with Eno doing the effects. Still one of rocks best studio solos. -Stop The War-

  • Eno is to music what Lynch is to film.

  • Eno is amazing and under appreciated.

  • I love Brian Eno :) He is awesome I was just listening to this song thanks

no one ever puts Brian Eno songs

  • Thx for posting. This has always been my favorite cut by Eno. Never associated the song w/this topography/imagery various times when I'd tripped out to it, but found it compelling nonetheless.
