LOL i remmember when i saw that in the same month, I was to excited to see what game is this, and then they showed some gameplay and stuff, I WAS TO DAMN EXCITED FOR IT, after that i asked my parents to buy it, soo my dad bought the creature creator first, i was too happy creating creatures and i was thinking of use them to evolute and explore anything! After that i bought the spore, Damn i was to happy every day! Now I have the spore and the expansion packs, thanks EA for that AWESOME game!

Yes EA just owns the company, but they rush the company to put games out. EA doesn't give a shit about game quality only money they make from it. Which is why i'm pissed about Pandemic and Bioware selling out to that POS company. Mass Effect took years to make and it was awesome. And I bet you EA rushes Bioware to get Mass Effect 2 out by the end of this year or early/mid next year. I guarantee it will suck! EA is trying to buyout Rockstar for 2bil even, and they got DENIED. Rockstar kicked ass.

EA owns Maxis but Maxis makes better games than EA. Spore is going to be great I know it. It's from the guy who made Sim City and the Sims... Those are fantastic games. I'm pretty sure Spore will be awesome so I'm looking forward to buy it when it comes out!

While i think it's awesome we finally have a confirmed date that won't change. I'm a bit saddened that it wont be out until September, which is starting to look like my busiest month/time of the year. Go figure.

This was a bit of a disappointment, really. I was hoping to get my hands on this game in March. The worst case scenario would be that the game has been changed so badly that it would hardly be recognized when it comes out. What the hell? Do they really need 7 months to polish the game? Bullshit.

Well, that's what you get for believing everyone who said it was coming out in March. That was just bad information. EA has NEVER announced a release date until now. The March release date was just speculation based on the fact that Spore wasn't mentioned in EA's 2008 yearly report, thus the *soonest* it would have come out was March (the start of fiscal 2009). It was always just speculation on the part of retailers like Gamestop.

Oh, yes. I totally let myself fool to those buggers with the false release dates. Just makes me so pissed that they haven't informed us well enough. I mean, people where starting to wonder whether the project had turned into vaporware. But since it's a game from an achknowledged game designer I didn't really think it had. The main page is really uninformative. They better come ut with updated pictures and movies for the additional months of waiting that we have to endure now. :p

They've announced the game for Windows, Mac and DS, with a mobile/cellphone-based version sometime in the future. They'll launch with at least Windows, Mac and DS on the 7th. No console support has been officially announced yet.
