Well, I've never heard of "A Lloyd", but I love the Steeleye Span version, which is the first version of this folk song I'd ever heard, and I also love this version, which is very different. There was also a beautiful version by three women here on YouTube, but I couldn't hear the words well enough to learn it (bad recording and Scots-Irish accents.)

@INTHEJUNGLE123 A Lloyd didn't write it, it's a traditional ballad that we collated from the Child and Broadside collections (dated around 1860ish). Sorry it upset you, but Lloyd has no claim to this ballad.

If it wasn't for Cloudstreet, I wouldn't have heard this song at all so I'm sure, instead of rolling in his grave, A Lloyd is probably happy that someone else has got to hear this great song.
