Great tribute, to maybe the best that has ever played. I love when people say his RG title doesn't mean as much, he have to beat Nadal/Djoke/Murray. Well, he took care of his business, did what he needed to do. And he always does. 20 straight SFs in Grand Slams shows that. Federer will bounce back very soon! He was not well in early 2008 and he didn't even realise it, then when he did during mid 2008 he was holding himself back just to make sure he recovers properly. Taking less risk and just taking it easy. It wasn't enough to win most, but he still managed to perform very well using his B game. :)
MrHappyNappy, great point! I forgot that he had MONO, and that sucks the life right out of you. I remember when Justine Henin had it and she was out for almost a year with that. And Roger played through it all. He's so courageous. He's a class act that all other tennis players and his critics should follow.

I really feel so bad for Roger... I think hes virtually lost all his confidence. I mean even the mono is long gone, all those losses last year that he had because originally of the mono kept removing his confidence every time he lost. And its pretty much to the point I think that he has nearly no confidence right now. I mean that serve, especially his second serve, doesn't penetrate like it used to, and he isn't the consistent Roger like we used to know anymore, making a lot of easy errors..
The problem is.. he started with the mono.. that took off some confidence in the begining.. but, like he was losing he kept losing his confidence... Some say Mono is not guilty, but it is.. Mono started everything, As he kept losing in that time, after mono in 2008, he will keep losing until be beat a big player.. or he wins wimby or Roland Garros... If he gets to win RG, next day we will welcoming to the old Roger Federer.. he need to trush again in himself

Yes he has by our standards, but not by his. To see him pour his heart and soul into his craft and to lose it by 2 points was just too painful to watch. How he does this is beyond me. I think you people take too much for granted ... winning isn't everything. Roger won knowledge in his defeat against Nadal in Hamburg, which is more important than a win. He's going to take his revenge because he's undoubtedly the best player there ever was, and the longer it takes for him to beat Nadal on clay again, the sweeter it's going to taste. Thank you. It was tough to realize that he is only human after his dominance during the last few years... but... I believe in him too, he is only 26 after all.. many years to come...
