@mrblueskies3 Because copwatchers are complete scum. Did you know the founder of copwatch founded it after getting out of prison for trying to hire a hitman to kill his girlfriends husband?? Nice group of folks huh??
@mrblueskies3 Probably because in California it's less likely that any LEO will be providing medical aide, and more likely they're abusing their power. Most officers I've seen working and know do not want to give aide, they just want to enforce laws. Often times they'll stand around telling someone they'll be ok as they bleed instead of getting a triage bag and helping them out.
@pcpeeker It's not the officers problem, it's an issue with the system. Instead of making everyone a first responder in California we really separate people into their own groups. Private EMT, Public FireFighter and maybe Para-Medic, and then you have LE. LE is generally writing tickets and enforcing laws. The CHP probably has more first responder training than most other LE, but usually LE is too busy working calls that deal in laws, and they usually don't respond to medical calls.
