McDonalds has done more for the indigenous peoples and the environment in the Amazon Forest than all the eco-terrorist such as Greenpeace, PETA, ELF, WOW, and the other socialist do-gooders combined. You socialist would have the people of the Amazon living in squallier and destitution just so you can come here once or twice in your life time and tell everyone how great you are. Leave our rainforest alone, and take your bleeding hearts away. We do not need you.
ofc it is... a weather documentation stated the weather always changes, there was Snow in Iraq this year for the first time in a LOONG time.. yeah.. must be global cooling .. i dont believe in global warming, its just a try to scare..
Great music and obviously lovable people ....:-). Like the Ara's! Eagerly awaiting the McD settlers to provide the natives with some wholesome food!
Seriously, as always below the strategic Apex one will usually find decent folks... but at the Apex.... Greed to in crease stock option value and obedience to the pressure from stock holders and company raiders not to mention the competitors will always be decisive. The buck does not stop... (it dwindles though ...:-).
A very moving video - I'm glad that you and McDonald's have learn things that go on there. Sometimes, seeing and feeling the immensity and the fragility of the Amazon Rainforest are the best ways to learn. I hope many multinational corporations also wake up to the consequences of their own actions. Procuring goods is one thing, knowing how it impacts local communities and their environment is something else.
Words mean nothing unless you show some intensive conclusive and internationally visible follow up action! Mcdonalds has never been famed for attracting people who care much about anything, no one says they have to, it must be said! But many fast food chans who exist solely for profit are seen as scumbags who are only afraid of bad pres and dont really care, p.r. stunts are not the way forward and totally transparent!, but time will tell
Action is what it's all about. I do think that seeing the "real deal", as our team did on this Amazon trip with Greenpeace, is an important part of taking action. It is hard to do all you can without actually knowing what is happening on the ground.
