Awesome job! i learn that song too! but, you had some mistakes like: some notes were hardly heard and some notes were wrongly played.

this is bach's 2nd minuet in g for harppsicord you may have mistake it for the first one or you have a transposed insturment

i also did the other minuet in G major (bach) from that same book (anna magdalena) and they're easy! this one.. not that much but the other ones are pretty easy

hehe yup this is grade 3 i done it for my grade 3 exam and yes this is easy cos grade 3 is very easy until u get to grade 5 when it's start to get abit harder :)

yes it is dry, sorry to who ever's playing this. Bach's notebook is a mixed bag. There's a lot of fun stuff, and then there's the not so fun stuff that sounds bad nine out of ten times. To make it sound interesting it takes some will. Even if it is easy, it takes good musical instinct to make it sound enjoyable.

Bach sounds so simple, but it's surprisingly hard - which is why I must say that girl is very talented! I'm 17, I've taken piano lessons for 6 years... I know this song, but I only played it like a couple of months ago, and it wasn't easy.

no offense, and I might sound like a noob, but I started piano lessons 4 months ago, and I asked my teacher for an original piece of classical music and she found me the minuet in g. I played it at a recital around mid-december.

My point is that this song is harder to play than it sounds. It took me a couple of days to learn it, not more. So compared to what I usually play it wasn't hard at all, but it also wasn't as easy as you might think when you hear it. It was not like I struggled with it or anything.

She certainly is working her way towards technical proficiency! Very accurately played! I hope that she loves the music she is playing and can communicate her passion in her playing so that she does not develop as a pianist thinking accuracy and technicality is everything. Every song tells a story...soul and dynamics further that story just as much, if not more, than hitting all the right notes.

Absoultly wonderful, and she should be very proud of herself. However after having played this piece for an exam it must be noted that minuet in G is played faster than she is doing. But i still think she's a very good player. Well done!! :-D

She has the same problem I do, though, with the left hand being too loud.

Playing Bach requires a lot of time practicing each piece individually to get the balance just right. Frustrating, but rewarding.

It wouldn't be hard for you to learn. This is the third song I ever learned to play after the Musette and other Minuet in G from the Anna's Notebook. It's a good song to learn early as it easily introduces independent use of the left hand that is equally complicated to the movements of the right (as oppose merely holding down chords).
