First, Carrie should have won Best Vocalist over Taylor or Miranda during the last 2 years..Yes, Taylor & Miranda had great success but Carrie technically, emotionally blows them away, its not even close. Just ask Randy Travis! Second, Carrie has co-written her last 4-5 #1 singles, with lyrics miles above Taylor's. Why does the industry have this love affair w/ Taylor's songwriting? Yes, she writes catchy, pop hooks but her song structure is repetitive, while CU's is complex and timeless.

To swatwhatbutgawd and lennalsmyangel:  Viable points, however, with Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert, a resurgent Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood (MAJOR snub this year), and Lady Antebellum out there, it will be really hard for her to top 2009 if she ever will. I have no doubt she'll win more awards but for her to win more than one at the ACMs or CMAs will be really tough.
