talk, talk, talk! shoot. constitutional money belongs to the people not to the gold-mining tycoons, tycoons who own the Fed anyway (and the so-called marketplace); take back control of the Fed and kick these gentlemen out.
When gold is money, EVERYONE who produces goods/services will have it, NOT just "gold-mining tycoons", mining has REAL COSTS, they've to pay workers in gold, to those who make machinary & same EVERYWHERE in the economy BUT one thing is IT CAN'T BE CREATED OUT OF THIN AIR
There are only two options, let the market do it with supply & demand like it works shoes, TV & whatever OR let the govt do it - govt which are bought & corrupt
Hey all you Austrian nerds, this guy just did a brilliant off the cuff speech on monetary history of the U.S. and all you can talk about is the chick?
She is kind of hot though...and the fact she is affiliated with Ron Paul, indicating she has a brain is even hotter. OK, you guys win.
Taxation is always redistributing wealth over some 'benefit' generated; which inherently can be an arbitrary determination by someone or (governing) 'entity'.
With land being more readily available the resource per person analysis was in favor of people establishing more legal ownership that enabled them some viable potential of survival (admittedly at a cost to the natives). We all should even NOW have more information about what the resources per person is, and similarly what is the skills needed are, as it relates to desired standards of living.
The solution that's even better than his "Virginia money" is Bitcoin. It already exists, and indeed is used worldwide, and gaining attention. Check out the weusecoins site, it's pretty good.
@aMqrius Yep, I guess he hasn't heard about it yet because it's not something mainstream is talking about and if they do, they try and claim it's illegal.
@pacificcoast Well, to be precise, he said "depressionary," not "deflationary." To get an idea of what could happen--and he does talk about Europe's problems expanding and reaching the US--check out the Dec. 6, 2011 Bloomberg article "The Long Shadow of German Hyperinflation."
This is one of the best Edwin Vieira lectures I've seen, not because I didn't already know everything he is saying (I own Pieces of Eight), but because its presented so well and I can pass this on to people who have some idea of whats going on but don't know all the history yet. Thank You Ron Paul!
I love Ron Paul. He's the only truth teller and Constitutionalist in the entire field that are running for President. He's only one working to restore the limited Constitutional Republic.
Long story short, Constitutional money is a MONOPOLIZED by Congress anything Congress designates the value of and asserts is designated as Constitutional money.
This established our permanent national bank monopoly under Congress
&
forbid any state from designating ANY THING other than our national money, or gold or silver whose value is set by Congress, for debt payment.
Private Banks, being inferior to states, were thereby also forbidden creating AND/OR designating ANY THING, other than our national money, or gold or silver whose value is set by Congress, for payment of debt.
Speculators are inferior still. They may not exchange ANY THING for debt
I wonder how many "Educated young American OWS protesters" have seen or heard any of this? Do they have any clue as to what and why they are protesting?
@atlasdaddy Speaking as one of the protestors, YEAH! There were a LOT of Ron Paul supporters there! Ron Paul is extremely different from all the establishment Democrats AND Republicans. He really is the only candidate who is actually different from them, and he has said that both side are the same to him - they both represent the inefficient, hypocritical status quo. See from 6:30 - 7:40 in this interview from the other day: watch?v=jq5cELAntE0
bluerepublican dt org has all the answers and links for every state you need to make sure you are registered, and registered as republican if needed (they tell you that too) and the dates for each states caucuses. Links take right to registration.
Then all you have to do is show up at the caucus. Ten or twenty additional Paul votes at a caucus site means a Ron Paul delegate. It is that simple.
Ron Paul is the only legitimate candidate for the presidency, who DESERVES after being consistent for over 30 years and predicting many problems that we face today!
And beware lest the media try to make him look "unelectable" or "someone else as the front runner"
@Eye2EyeIIIV I don't buy that he lost the New Hampshire primary for a second, that is, if the voters of New Hampshire have any intelligence whatsoever. Ron Paul voters should register on a website to check the legitimacy of our electoral system.
amen! I don't buy that hogwash either!!! time the LAMEstream media starts pulling their fingers out. btw if romney is so "popular", why does everyone on the Internet dislike him??? hmm?? because the Internet has got the truth!
how would romney do in a debate with obama??? he would suffer humiliation with obama thanking him for blueprinting ObamaCare, and pointing out his flip-flops!
with all due respect, it is fascinating but less so as a non tenured common law civilian being extorted by an entity called government and not knowing who to trust or how to generate real revenue without these fraudulent systems
@lbatchelder well yes. Socratian logic guides one to conclude that if a system previously existed and worked why not re-employ that system. I am familiar with the Dartmouth experiment of re-introducing silver/gold. However I believe Qadaffi was murdered so his nations gold could be redistributed in part to Chavez, now Americans are having their futures contracts stolen because there is not enough supply to back any currency properly. I do not favor War for others stuff......
@savedfaves I dont profess to tell you anything except that this kind of comment gives libertarians a bad reputation when liberty is under such assault by the defacto corporation. the concepts in this video are very deep and severe and that remark so superficial. typical liberal attack point.....
pay attention there's gonna be a test,... and a boxcar awaits the wrong answer under a fascist regime
