yesterday i reached this speed you show use here.

But my gps-navigation says "just" 165 km/h.

(which ist really fast for a car like this!)

You will never reach 185 km/h until you change the gearbox and put in some more horses...;)

Als this 107, C1, Aygo videos showing such high speeds are plain stupid.

The speedometer simply shows up to 10% to fast, like in most cars.

170 on the Clock equals 158km/h...not that impressive.

The Peugeot 107 definitely "feels" much faster than it realy is, thats why you want to belive it is really that fast.

Since my speedometer has been calibrated it shows hardly anything faster than 165 km / h

Engine displacement is no real measure, you can easily make 150hp out of 1 Liter, It's all just a question of rpm. The basically same engine block is used in Motorcycles with up to 11.000 rpm.

wouww... I was afraid of pulling mine faster than 165 on German Autobahn, because the producer indicates as maximum speed 158 kph.

The pedal was though just half way into the floor.

And even at that speed this lil'thing is so stable, quite unbelievable.

by the way... if you shift to 4th gear, you can go even much faster because then the engine runs in area of maximum hp (~6000 rpm). I already reached GPS-proved 175 km/h with my C1... Then the speedometer needle is over the lower edge of LCD...

All Aygos can go that fast, depends if your going down hill with the wind behind you! I've had mine at that speed, on private land.

top speed for an aygo is 98mph

i got an *indicated* 115 in mine when i had it... the police confirmed that it was actually 97mph, gave me 6 points and £100 fine for the pleasure!

you have to remember how innacurate car speedos get once you go over 80 or so mph.. even at an indicated 70mph you're likely only really doing 66 or so on the ground. the best way to check is to use a GPS thing like a TomTom satnav or a Garmin GPS locator to verify the accuracy.

It was hilarious when my speeding thing came through, beacuse at the time i was a toyota car salesman, and it was my company car. the letter went straight through to sales admin and it said something along the lines of "vehicle registration FH55PUJ [iirc] was caught travelling at 97mph on a road with a 70mph limit". she read it out loud for a laugh, and i was liek "SHIT!"

it varies from car to car quite a lot. with the indicated 115mph that I got which according to the police was actually 97mph, that's more like a 15% inaccuracy.

It can be done , I drove do to Croatia in Aygo 1.0 and i get the same speed!!! It really can be done and the car run great!!!No noise,bad handling or something!!! I want to test this car and I can't belive that it goes so fast!!! I got Opel Corsa with c20xe engine with 160hp ,and it goes 225km/h and so little car like Aygo goes 180...!Nice!!!

My god, 185KMH in such a "economy car"! Incredible! Reminds me of the time my friend was going 120MPH up a hill in Los Angeles, on a hot humid day with the A/C going driving a TOYOTA TERCEL 2 DOOR! Snow flakes were coming out of the vents and frost was building up. I was in fear for our lives but it was so much fun.

I've done 180 in my Aygo too (measured on GPS). The clock shows 7-8 % too much on mine. I hast to be open road and a little down hill to achieve it. It is possible, but not at all comftable
