Nothing new here. Christians (and every other religion) stating that something that isn't true (traditional national day of prayer and founded on Christian values), is in fact true. I guess they figure if it worked with Noah and his ark then it would work with American history as well.
National prayer day = A day where we do nothing and hope problems will solve itself.
If someone wants to pray that is fine, even if it is the president, but to say we need a day dedicated to prayer is a day wasted toward solving problems.

So we shouldn't pray in church? That's a public place. The scripture you quoted is out of context for this subject. I'm sure Obama didn't pray publically because he was worried about be called a hypocrite. He didn't pray pubically because he didn't want to. We don't know who he is praying to anyway, so maybe it's best.
