The cockpit door is completely inaccessible. For a terrorist to bust the door, he'd have to destroy the whole plane. In other words, hijacking a plane has become IMPOSSIBLE.
As for detroying a plane, groping isn't gonna prevent it. If someone wants to hide something, he might put it up his ass or swallow it, and groping will not find it.
So groping clearly isn't done to minimize risks of terrorism. It's done for other reasons: same reason why priests has their flock kneel before them.

Let me tell y'all something, I came through Miami International airport on Saturday (A LITERAL NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE), and by the time that I got through immigration, customs, and connecting to another AA flight, I didn't give a shit about a body scan or being groped up. TSA Agents are not going to stop doing this to people, The airlines took a horrible but justified beating from the american public. They are not going to allow themselves to be placed in that position again! They no doubt lost millions of dollars already, less people are flying then ever before.
