  • Uyghurs are more threatened by the Chinese goverenment, Why does not Nato or UN attack China to save the Uyghurs? Tibetans as well.

  • THE NATURE OF WHITE PEOPLE IS TO DIVIDE.CONQUER, AND DESTROY. THEIR QUEST FOR SURVIVAL IS TO DESTROY WHAT IS NATURE. THE TRUTH WILL ALWAYS REMAIN. EVEN IF SHE TRYS TO CHANGE HER WORDS, SHE ALREADY SAID IT, "NATO INVASION OF LIBYA."

  • Iran “discreetly” provided humanitarian aid to Libyan rebels before the fall of Tripoli, Jam-e-Jam newspaper quoted Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi as saying. Aug 28, 2011

"We were in touch with many of the rebel groups in Libya before the fall of Kadhafi, and discreetly dispatched three or four food and medical consignments to Benghazi,” Salehi told the daily.

Now they are silent as Gaddafi got world wide support and Iran is exposed once again!!

  • “The head of the National Transitional Council (NTC), Mustafa Abdel Jalil, sent a letter of thanks to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for having been on their side and helping,” Said Iranian foreign minister Ali Akbar Salehi

Iran "congratulated the Muslim people of Libya" after rebels overran the capital Tripoli, but it has so far distanced itself from officially recognising the NTC. Now there is a inside news that Syrian Allawit regime also covertly controlling NATO rebel in Libya!!

  • Hezbollah Secretary Genetral Hasan Nasrallah expressed support to the revolutions and the uprisings of the Arab people, particularly in Tunis, Egypt, Bahrain, LIBYA, and Yemen.

"....We tell them that you have our support; we are happy when you are; we pray for you to triumph; we are ready to help you in every domain that serves your interest and ours,” Sayyed Nasrallah said. Now Google "Hezbollah Leader Embraces Libyan Rebel Alliance" for more information.

  • 3 months after the begin of conspiracy, of mouth of NATO and TCN, the rebels at most 3000. 0.06% of libyans.

For to defend 3000 terrorists and inquisitors, NATO commited a genocide on 50 000 libyans.

  • "Libya, which is believed to be Gaddafi's military dictatorship is actually the most democratic state in the world. There, in 1977, Jamahiriya was proclaimed the highest form of democracy in which the traditional institutions of government are abolished, and all power belongs to the people directly and through the people's committees and people's congresses. The state is divided into many communities which are self-guided 'mini-states within a state"

Vladimir Chamor former russian amb. in Libya

  • "Western propaganda has been demonizing Gaddafi as pathological tyrant and implacable foe of the democratic aspirations of the Libyan people. This is not true. There exist some mechanisms of popular control and democracy in Libya: elected councils of citizens and self-governing communities (communes). All that without the Soviet-style party nomenklatura, bloated bureaucracy, but with very high standards of living and social security of its citizens."

Vladimir Chamor former russian amb. in Libya

  • @TheRealNews, It's a BIG LIE, when at 1:57 she say "uprising against a terrible dictatorship"

Because all evidence that's a nazis, criminal, terrorist, sectarian and inquisitor taymyo wahhabi uprising against true direct democracy!

  • Damn u NATO u've dustroied every thing in my country uve bombed every single house in my city Sirt there is no houses any more in sirt thanks alot :( and in the end u killed our leader wt type of ppl u r ? However The king will be in our hearts untill the end

  • many thanks for these informations. the nerws we have got is somrtimes incorrect. thanks a lot, but Gasaafi is now ar]lraedy dead.

  • Who stops NATO from killing civilians?

  • Phyllis Bennis is Bullshitting Communist always digging around for way to attack Western Democracies and to support any brutal dictatorship as long as dictator is anti-western. Bennis used to write for Maoist Guardian magazine in New York City when Irwin Silber was editor and she is still hard-core Maxist Leninist in drag as fake intellectual. NATO is Great and NATO freed Libya and We Syrians want NATO to come free us. Bennis will probably attack us Syrian pro-Democracy activists next

  • Idiotic comments. but I find this channel useful as me being aware to more facts judge the situations better./

  • NATO - NATIONAL ASSHOLES TAKING OIL!

  • Illegitimacy as a term, when it comes to modern post ww2 global conflicts is a complete piece of shit and doesn't mean anything at all.

  • Nato, the licence of the rich to commit acts of violence.

  • Let's remind, when all the rich nations are proposing to break legal rules according to their own convinience, due to the Mid East's petrol is the only one thing that really concerns to them. The bill they are going to pass to the Libyanese people is gona be so high. The big question is..why do they not intervene in the Colombia's conflict over the FARC's guerrilas?? what a fucking guys those.. Greengoes.

  • @22rayovac Lets remember when Libya ask for help people should read more before talk about things they dont know and well war cost alot of money =) oil its what they can offer to nato for the help

  • maybe this sounds a little weird... but after cccp dissapears, things gone seriously wild in this world...

  • blow the fuckers up,,

  • @aniceboy100 I hate to sound ignorant but what does that mean in english?

  • Libya was becoming independent and threatening the us empire.

    the 'rebels' supported by who/

  • I love P. Bennis. Love THE REAL NEWS the best guests and best reporting always.... Thank you so much for bringing us the information that we so desperately need.

  • international law????? the US breaks the international law every chance it gets, after all whose there to reinforce the law? international law is to be applied to everyone else EXCEPT the USA and its clients state Israel.

  • This woman made me realize that illegitimization of wars is pretty important, whether they make them anyways or not should not stop anyone from protesting against future acts of anti-democracy such as war on Iraq. I marched in Brussels against that particular war and it feels good to know that it made such a difference... I will protest again in the future...

  • What if it is Illegitimate in any of your eyes? What are you gonna do about it? I already know the answer!

  • Peace is war. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.

    Intervention is invasion.

  • Oh please, Putin is the international litmus test of weather or not a NATO intevension is legitimate or not? This interview is a sad joke.

  • Yes, the NATO intervention in Libya is illegitimate.

For starters, neither the UN Charter nor the NATO Charter allow for their respective armed forces to be used for regime change. And does anyone remember a mere six months ago when we were told that the UN-NATO mission in Libya was to be a humanitarian one? Does anyone remember being told that the UN-NATO role was to enforce a no-fly zone?

Its now a flat-out bombing campaign, when did the mission change?

US ground forces in Libya by 9/21/2011.

  • "intervention" is a grotesque euphemism

  • those who believe news from major media at this moment do not deserve to be called 'human', rather monkeys, or fascists

  • There was no proof that Gaddafi was massacring his people, and he was attacked because he wanted to go onto the Gold Dinar. Which would have killed the fiat money system. This is disinformation..lite!

  • @genefire copy of Iraq. Hussein was a cruel man but was left alone until he announced his gold dinar and that all of his oil would have to be paid in gold. Invasion began. Mostly UN and NATO Europe taking out Khadaffi as Libya provides very little oil to USA but lots to Europe. Always follow the money. NATO is part of military of Illuminati. If military didn't provide so many benefits and signing bonuses to schools that dumb down American kids have no clue - just sign up for the money.

  • i like the fact Ghadaffi got a ass kicking. The clown called up for a holy war against my country, now his fellow countrymen kicked his ass :)

  • united nations stands for united nothing, its arm of the rockerfeller and the rothschild, so it does not actually represent any nation but the military industrial complex!!

  • @halcyon0830 some brain dead individual(s) have marked your comment spam, when it isn't. I guess people feel that the truth is spam and BS is news and information.

We live in an Alternative Universe. Right on about the aqua fir as well!

  • @genefire Thank you for posting. I would not have seen it.

  • Libyan Rebels ARE NOT freedom fighters. Rebels ARE NOT fighting for Democracy, equal rights or a secular state. These Extremists are fighting to remove Gaddafi who Fought Radical Wahabbi Islam & Islamists for last 30 years. These "Rebels" want a Wahabbi Theocracy, why is USA helping them? There are over 6 Million people in Libya, only 1000 (Benghazi Wahabbi Extremists connected to Al-Qaeda & Hezbollah) are fighting Gaddafi. If 1000 KKK wanted to Kill Obama, should UN & World bomb Obama & USA ??

  • We elect politicians believing they will run the country, but the politicians are run by corporations. They're like students who got started in college with a financial loan. Lobbyists outnumber congressmen 50>1. All of politics is corrupt, the very fabric of our society is corrupt. We need to replace the monetary society ASAP.

  • Umm.. as per Saddam and Bin Laden (if he ever existed), wasn't Gaddafi also trained by the CIA?

  • Knee-jerk anti-intervention naivety. Everyone knew what they were voting for when the resolution called for "any and all measures." When Benghazi freed themselves it changed the dynamic of the situation in a way that didn't happen in Egypt, Bahrain, or Syria. Naturally we sided with the democracy rather than the crazy genocidal dictator. There are no divisions on the ground, NATO has stolen zero gallons of oil and REAL NEWS isn't getting any donations from me.

  • pretty good analysis

  • So I've heard there is a "rebel" brigade made up of "civilians" taking over oil fields in Texas and calling for a No Fly Zone.

  • @6of6 This would be so awesome.

  • @mlk22771 I agree. This woman made some sweeping negative judgements against Gadaffi and frantically corrected "NATO invasion" to "intervention". Paul simple let it slide. *sigh*

  • "First they invaded Afghanistan,

and I didn't speak out because I wasn't an Afghan.

    Then they invaded Iraq,

and I didn't speak out because I wasn't an Iraqi.

    Then they invaded Libya,

    and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Libyan.

    Then they invaded my country

and there was no one left to speak out for me."

    UNITE AND FIGHT!

  • NATO and the West are only interested in raping this country.

They are interested in their gold and oil. Rebels are misled and this 'revolution' is not genuine.

Did you hear that the EU and USA banks are ready to 'help' with credit for reconstruction? A formerly rich country now will become a debtor to the west.

FUCK the banksters that pushed for this war.

  • @topthickproducer How is the west getting their gold and oil with no troops on the ground? Are they sucking the oil up with invisible pipelines? Maybe the evil geniuses in the Pentagon are teleporting it out of Libya. Gaddafi tried to level every town that rebelled and it was concerned humanitarians mostly in France that pushed for intervention. Take your tinfoil hat off and read about Gaddafi.

  • @Rosscifer Did I say anything about supporting Gaddafi? No, I didn't. But to believe NATO and the West is a 'democratic' force is to be naive. Follow the money trail, it is the banksters that pushed for this war. They 'hold' a lot of Libya's gold.

Do you think they will give it all back? And who will take over the oil business? The rebels?

Ha, Ha! You are so naive. The USA tries to be the World Police only where there are $ Interests.

  • of course it illegal to murder .

  • America is getting increasingly paranoid and xenophobic. I doubt their foreign policy will change towards countries which do not wish to be part of a corrupttopia at least for their internal economy. The Arab springs did not occur in Iran because their leadership is a proper representative of their people’s interests, and as such sides with the will of its people. For some reason Americans are so apocalyptic they will simply create what they fear the most and subside into irrelevancy.

  • @choobie12 America is not getting more paranoid or xenophobic. It doesn't have anything to do with that. America is getting hungry. Hungry for oil and money.

  • N WO

  • Where to go for creditable news? I've depended on the REAL NEWS up to the last few weeks/months. It's becoming obvious, Real News has sold out. This was a whitewash of more crimes against humanity. Nuremburg trials are now needed in Baghdad, Kabul and Tripoli, just as a beginning.

  • Is NATO Intervention Illegitimate? Even illegal? You're damn right it is!!!!

  • An empty compound with an empty victory.

  • Oil, oil, OIL!!!

  • I don't know how much I agree with this? The US and every country has interests around the world. Only a fool would say that they don't. What exactly is a legal war? Does she expect the UN to be involved with every move NATO needs to make? It isn't a stretch so say Ghadaffi wouldn't tolerate any calls for his removal. Let's look at history and the 2 Korea's if you want to see what can happen once you establish a free society. I wish US just helped the Iraqis overthrow their government.

  • @jim6584 You maybe right of course, but wait for the occasion when the shoe will be on the other foot, and the justifications will be used against the Western imperialist ZOGS and their forces, the way they use it on others.

  • Libya was not a poor, weak country but one of the most developed ones in Africa.

  • I don't think that NATO is evil, I just think it's a "Justice League" without a "Lex Luthor" to fight against. Unfortunately being an organization like that without a proper enemy makes them search for one, however that only really creates lots of distrust for NATO and lots of dislike for NATO. Thus I think NATO should be disbanded, and if they want to organize military relations with other countries then just create one or use the UN for that, but don't rely on NATO anymore its lost purpose.

  • Why after 40 years did they "suddenly" decide to take out Gaddafhi? To force in "capitalism" and "democracy"? We saw how good this work in Iraq & Afghanistan. Obama Nobel Peace Prize winner, wonder if he get's re-elected, he'll get a second one to improve his false image?.... up is down, left is right, 2+2 =5. Oceana has always been at war with Eastasia.

  • @Idtelos Agreed! This is all doubleplus ungood! Muammar Goldstein lives!

  • umm, yeah.

  • Good interview, thank you.

  • I don't know guys. I'm not as outraged about this as you guys are. The US and NATO operations in Afghanistan and Iraq, I felt, were and still are illegal. The US went to war under false premises on both of those wars and Bush and his administration should be tried in the ICC. But with me, Libya is different. The entire world, including the Arab League saw the threat that was Ghadaffi and had countries not protested, Ghadaffi would've most likely killed Libyans who called for him to step down.

  • WE are a very sick and we will pay with our soul.

  • Am I the only one who wants to see Paul Jay impersonate Qaddafi?

  • NATO = North Atlantic Treaty Organization

NATO ≠ North African Treaty Organization

NATO to "protect" 26th largest Gold reserve in Libya.

Gold to go to 4k an oz.

  • The attack against Libya was as much a violation of International Law as was the war in Iraq and Afghanistan.

  • Any means to protect civilians giving the right for China and Russia and all countries of the world to attack NATO isn't it?

  • Nato did, as usual, overstep their bounds several times. Bombing of non-military targets was wrong in my book.

But the one thing I don't hear critics of the rebels and NATO actions talk about are realistic alternatives on how the part of the Libyan people that rejected Gaddafi could have achieved their freedom in the face of a belligerent murdered like Gaddafi whose military was armed with tanks and aircraft.

  • Took up Arms " Certainly their right to do so ?? " what morality are you postulating ? Your telling us what we heard, You feel guilty don't you. rightly so all of the United Nations, are are Carpetbaggers of NATO .. So What are you going to do Now? , don't tell us of your folly, how are you going to correct this ??

  • Humanitarian Bombing. Lol

  • It's not directly the oil, fools! It's that Gaddafi was introducing a gold dinar to trade oil with! So like Saddam, he was dumping the US dollar for trading oil and starting to use gold, which not only would have collapsed the USD, but all fiat currencies which are floating and now in question because of the massive national debts and quantitative easing type programs. It's because of gold-for-oil, and many other decisions that would have contended against elite corporatism in Africa!

  • i guess, anglosaxon mission is still going on recolonizing africa and asia. it's clear that the.u.s. british, france are run by freemason, international mafia.

  • Even though I don't completely share Phyllis Bennis' Orthodox leftist frame of mind, yet I still enjoy her precise articulation and clear reasoning nevertheless. This time for example the viewers got a pretty good recapping of what, how and why things happened in Libya, which led us to the present juncture.

PS I'm noticing also, that Paul has a markedly softer style with female 'subjects' than with his standard fare of bearded professors.

  • excellent segment!. Thank u Ms Bennis. Thank you Paul Jay and TRN

  • Why did Nato and other Europeans attack Gaddafi? Main reason is oil as you have heard.

Everyone read this article back in 2009

  • @marumito You dont know what NATO is dont say a shit and well youre from Japan I see =) I can tell you dont know a shit about history

  • @iPrada89 -- oh and do you know anything about NATO then? hahaha your sooo gullible, I'm not even from japan A-hole! don't let the name fool you..... you don't know a rat ass about history either so don't act like you know... NATO IS A TERRORIST ORGANISATION USED UNDER CLOAK OF THE GLOBALIST ELITES WHO WANTS 2 CONTROL THE WORLD & YOUR ASS INCLUDED! SHUT THE FUCK UP FRUIT!!! funny hahaha...

  • @marumito ,, They are more than terrorists,, in fact they are devil , satanic and evil.. God will punish them and there generation, Amen

  • NATO went into Libya because they want to Loot Kadaffi's OIL... that's the only reason! they are using the libyan people's frustrations & self-determination to overthrow the existing govt. to their advantage using the Cloak of "freedom & Liberty"...

  • @marumito Oil & Gold

  • @brettux -- HELL YEAH YOUR RIGHT! ALLAH HU AKBAR!!!

  • It is so llegitimate that it has 3 L's

  • Fuck NATO, This is so inhumane and so not excepted,

Something needs to be done like brought to trial. This is

    a EVIL act!

  • good information.

  • NATO have very nasty double standards, easy to jump into Libya yet Syria and others are left to get actually slaughtered while they claim they're investigating for evidence ...
