tsubasa resevoir chronicles is a terrible serie (the manga) that makes absolutely no sense. Every time something happens: MORE CLONES APPEAR. First half was fine but the 2nd half is atrocious. 

If you want shojo, go with nanoha, cardcaptor sakura, angelic layer, magic knights rayearth, or shishi doumei cross

*sigh* Now that brought back some good memories. I spent almost every morning in 5th grade waking up to see this show before going out to ride the school bus. Growing up in S. Korea sure was one heck of an experience for me. But watching this, the song was right but the animation clips were from the 3rd opening, and it matched perfectly. Now I'm watching Tsubasa Chronicles and it just makes me wanna watch this show in Jap. with Engl. subs.
