Not to mention that if anything, sharks' lives are more deserving seeing as they've lived through mass extinctions at the beginning of the Triassic, the KT extinction event, and multiple ice ages which ended what we know as the prehistoric age. They are immune to disease, poison, and they can heal from wounds and gashes quite easily. They are better adapted than man at surviving. But the fact that they're not cute and have teeth means that man feels no remorse killing them.

Also, there's like 6 billion maybe 7 people on the planet, if we kill the sharks to try to save the humans, both humans and sharks lose. If we save the sharks and let the small percentage of the human race starve for the greater good, in the long term everybody wins. The problem with the human race is that they always think of the short term and never think of their actions in the long run. Overpopulation is an issue, shark attacks are not.

As I've said, if you want humans to live then you need for them to survive. If you take out the top of the food chain then everything will go to hell. Besides, more people are killed by Coconuts and Donkeys than sharks, and cows cause more environmental damage. Not to mention Sharks only eat their fill, it's humans who seem to be insatiable.

Yes but we've evolved to live without the dinosaurs, therefore they are no longer a vital part of our ecosystem. Okay, let's say human life is more important. How do you expect to preserve human life when the ocean's ecosystem goes absolutely crazy? Sharks die, sea lions, stingrays, and other fish become vastly overpopulated, and they in turn eat the smaller fish, some of which eat bacteria, and the entire balance is upset. Homeostasis is key for survival for all species.
