without bonnet there is something missing on the new album - the magic of "assault attack" is never realized, what a pity...this milestone will be never forgotten, but "temple of rock" surely...
This is just so tame. I love youtube it saves me so much money because I can listen to things like this and not spend my hard earned cash on the CD only to listen to it once and be totally disappointed and then throw it away.
The lyrics 'In The Night When I Shite'? I know Michael said he liked camping and sometimes going for a shit in the fields when no facilities nearby but adding that into the lyrics is just bizarre! This stuff is listenable but the kind of stuff M.Schenker can do in his sleep! The album lacks tunes or any stand out tracks - almost like an album of extra unused tracks because they weren't good enough to actually make an album.
@inakustikPR heard demo version of full album it is 'in the night when I shite' on there! Definitely word 'Shite', changed for final release on CD. The demo version of album this song intro is different also. WEAK album!!! Compared to best of MSG etc it is a poor effor, sure listenable but not a single killer memorable track.
@CloudsBeyond i agree ive been a big fan of schenker all my life, thought about going to see him in glasgow but this is crap.get rid of the hangers on get pete way fired up and do a total ufo msg set. sorted.
written in the sand was a good hard rock ms album...i miss the old stuff...guitar battle with slash...please...michael will smoke slash away...great single tough

Michael's tone is just unreal! I'm so glad he's off of the drinking and drugs, his playing the past few years has just kept getting better! And at 56, THAT is really saying something. Can't wait for the new one, especially the guitar battle with Slash. THAT WILL BE SICK!!! Michael Schenker has been my favorite since 1975,, and nothing has changed! Rock On Mad Axeman, Rock On!
This is the best change of singer Michael has made since the Mac Auley era.
Mickael Voss is a great singer (Listen to Casanova, Mad Max...), and yes his voice doesn't sound like any other singers. This give a new taste and it sounds really refreshing, a real change from the boring singers from the 90's and 00's albums of MSG.
Voss is not great but herr schenk has rarely gone for the classic rock vocalist. Whole sound is very disjointed, hopefully rest will be better...as someone who has seen him since the on the rack tour in '81 a zillion times i really hope so!

I agree that the vocals suck but what happened to the guitars? It sounds so buried in the mix. With Herman Rarebell on drums and Pete Way on bass, this is the best you can come up with? So disappointed.
Gimme a break! Get yourself a decent singer, mr. Schenker. You deserve powerhouse singers like Glen Hughes, Jorn Lande, Tony Martin. Michael Voss...? Get outta here
