"I'll tell ya when he's fuckin' had enough!" Morty's acting and the camerawork in this scene was fucking fantastic. Definitely one of my favourite scenes from one of my favourite films.
Morty volunteered to help with the body and to ride with Mr. Druggy at the wheel. I understand if there's no love loss, but he brought the arrest on himself.
The best beatdown scene in cinema...period. And XTC to start the scene, with a really cool DD tune to finish. Sorry about that, I won't be around for awhile.
the camera work in this is fucking genius, the shots they use of the beating is more powerful than if they just showed him getting beaten from an onlookers angle, another reason that this is such a bloody brilliant film
@numberxxi Its brilliant. They did it by having large padding around the camera which was attached to something loose, a wire or something. Then they just left Morty go off on it!
@casino16 The guy actually wrote a sequel. I've not read it, but I've read synopses on t'Internet. I agree with you, a sequel would sort of spoil it, but apparently, there is one. =/
@DaftSwank From my admittedly imperfect memory, yeah. XXXX wakes up in hospital some time later, and I think he moves to some island for his retirement, and gets drafted by local police to help crack a drug ring. I think.
Try Googling, I'm sure you can find it. I'm not sure I want to read it though. I think it might spoil the first book.
@750BruteForce4x4i I heard that the director (Guy Richie) was in talks to do a sequel. I heard Daniel Craig said he would do it, but only if EVERYONE from the original cast (who wasn't killed of course) agreed to do it too. That's what I heard several months ago.
i can never listen to this song the same way again.... i hate to admit, but i caught this film well after Craig became world famous as 007 in Casino Royale - but none the less, the film is fvcking brilliant - and it goes right next to Goodfellas and Casino as one of my favorite gangster flicks.
@Davieboii1 hes a racist who hates white peopel aka modern race relationshisps aka white people - poor and being harmed by the affirmative ation (racest) govenrment policies and unconstitutional white slavery plans thereby destroying the american dream permanently and seling america piece by piece to the chinese so that white poeople can beexterminated once and for all aka democrats wet dream
@tothehoodimustreturn dude, you live in a delusion and you really need help. I hope you find it. I pity you and wish you good mental health in future.
Great freakin movie scene! Classic British gangster movies. Wonder when Guy Ritchie will get back to stuff like this? Not that Sherlock Holmes was bad. RockNRolla was OK, but Snatch and LockStock rocked......
One of the greatest revenge scenes ever. Whatever differences we have in this world can be sorted out over a cup of tea. This movie was brilliantly directed.
Morty, confronted with the man who denied him 10 years of his life, carried the sentiment of this song for a decade until his release from prison. Whereupon he rejoined the underworld. This violent and brutal existence is his ordinary world.
XXXX, on the other hand, finds himself now trapped in the underworld and his sole desire throughout the film is to escape it. To return to what we identify as the the 'ordinary world'.
Both have seen the same journey but from opposite ends of the path
Fucking love this movie!!!!!!
