  • I can feel it.

  • Great tank.. I also have RES with Fish now for about 5 months no problems...

  • Over all a great set up as long as it covers 1. The 10 gallon per inch rule. 2. Proper basking light and area. 3. hiding spots 3. Filter 4. heater. So far I see no problem. Can't tell if the 10 inch rule is being covers but it looks like it is. :)

  • good song

  • luv the song

  • what kind of fish did you put in with your turles that they don't eat?

  • @lptyni05 Any type of fish will most likely be eaten up by your turtle. Whether there twice the turtles size or tiny the turtle will get hungry and eat them.

  • Wow I really like how you set up that first tank. Great colors and design. Actually they are all pretty cool looking. Very nice

  • dude this is a good choice of song for this btw.

  • i was wondering how do you keep the water clean in the turtle's tank?do you just change a certain of water at a time or do you change it all?

  • @azngitano im no expert but apparently you need a GOOD filter as the turtles are very messy (shit, piss in water and when they eat its messy) and 15-20% water changes are essential like opening up a window and letting in fresh air each week. hope it helps. peace

  • @azngitano - The general rule I have come to read on the net & actually personally realise is that your filter should be double your tank capacity. I have about 150 litres ish of water in my 200 litre Juwel turtle tank & I was filtering it with the built in Juwel filter suitable for a 200 litre tank. It was needing to be cleaned out all the time and was just totally inpractical. I recently bought a Fluval 305 external canister filter suitable for 300 litres + & the result? Perfect clean water.

  • So as a general rule, dont go for internal filters even big ones as they result in you needing to have your hands in the tank to remove the filter &/or media from the filter which in turn puts dirt back into the tank & also disturbs your turtles & environment (some keepers have some really nicely arranged setups). Always go for an external canister filter & with double the filtering capacity of your actual tank. Fluval are excellent & Eheim also have a good rep for canister filters.

  • @mrb3n interesting, thank you for your information :)

  • @azngitano - No problem.

  • Continuing Your 10 gallon will be grown out of fast as you have 2 and turtle, who will grow quite quickly, especially in the first months/year.

I hope this helps, if you have any more questions fill free to ask =)

  • hi mrjahsheemangus2,

from my knowledge of keeping my turtle: 1. you NEED a filter, because turtles are messy and need filtration to clean muck and waste. 2. You NEED a UV lamp as turtles need UV as an essential to help give them the vitamin they need, which leads into the aspect that they need to busk ( A MUST HAVE ! ).

  • can some 1 tell me what will happen if i dont have a heating lamp for my two baby red eared sliders i just have a heater no filter or light or a place 2 bask wat will happen and they are in a 10 gallon

  • I like your fish tank to

  • i like it its cool

  • with those big rocks, your turtle tank can also be a cichlid tank

  • i just got a turtle yesterday!

  • Very nice substrate. I have the same I'll put up my tank shortly. I have an albino RES and a Loggerhead Musk Turtle. Also one european pond turtle.

  • Both very nice tanks mate.
