I think if he was going to continue with the hand he should always c/r flop in that spot and depending on the turn c/r then c/c or c/r river. I'm not sure what hands durrr is trying to get isildur to fold out either.. I would imagine the range of hands he would call a c/r from durrr with on the turn would almost always call the river
I think in a vacuum ur absolutely correct that it's a suboptimal line to take. However you have to strongly consider the aspect of balancing c/c flop, c/r turn lines. Given the amount of hands they logged in against each other, durrrr only taking this line with 2 pr+ and oesfds would force isi to fold any overpair every single time, as he's pretty smashed against that range and basically has no good rivers. Therefore using 22% equ hands for your bluffs there is perfectly fine imo.
@bibbbydybabbbydyboo I think Durrrs line is good, the c/r is typical of a flush draw and when the diamond hits it makes it an even better time to shove the busted heart draw.

They may well be good players generally and in other games, but in terms of their plays on this particular video they both show alarming failures to fold when the community cards and opponent bets provide sufficient reason to believe they're behind, and way too many high risk high cost bluff fails. that's part of being a LAG player. the reason these guys can make this profitable is because they can value bet (or "throw chips around recklessly") with marginal hands and know that their image will get them looked up by even worse hands.
this is the style that's most profitable (and swingy) for heads up play.
if you aren't a LAG player, you're not going to succeed at the 100K buyin level.

How many all in bets for $200,000 on the river are called by a hand that cannot beat second pair?
Seriously, would you call a pot size all-in bet with less than second pair on the river?
This is absurd. Possibly the worst poker I have ever seen. Yes I know these guys a presumably really good but the hands shown in this video are idiotic.

that's part of being a LAG player. the reason these guys can make this profitable is because they can value bet (or "throw chips around recklessly") with marginal hands and know that their image will get them looked up by even worse hands.
this is the style that's most profitable (and swingy) for heads up play.
if you aren't a LAG player, you're not going to succeed at the 100K buyin level.

@blinkmefx not necessarily true. You are going to succeed at the highest levels by adjusting best to your opponents play and making good long term profitable decisions. Playing "LAG" is not a requirement.

how the hell can u throw money out there like that durrrr, overly aggressive on this session.. trying to build big pots preflop to make great post flop decisions and all the big pocket pairs on isil's end are slipping right on by un-noticed, and then that hand u stayed in when he had the queens and u had J 8... wow lucky lucky. U still my favorite nl hu player though lol

that last hand going all in pre flop with 10 9 suited is the type of donk play you'd expect at one/two cent blind levels, the end result however is basically the same with the suckout lol.

In the top right hand corner of the vid it shows over 700 games played between these two in this one session. Anyone saying this is gambling and not poker or that these two don't know the value of money should pay more attention to the vid. Watch the other 690 plus games for some perspective

tom dwan started with 50 dollars, and by playing like a professional he made over 8 million dollars just online... in live poker he hold the record for most money earned on the tv show high stakes poker, including the second biggest pot in tv history, the biggest pot is between him and phil ivey on the million dollar cash game, which he won 1.1 million dollars against ivey in a single pot...

although this looks like roulette, one has to appreciate that these hands are probably selected from hundreds of hands, most of which fold before much happens. Taken out of context they both look like donkeys.

3$ max rake per pot. Depends how much action there is usually when they bet every street then all-in its 3$ but if they're all in preflop its usually .50 or 1$
