A graduated Income tax is a more fair than a sales tax because the former tax is based on a person's ability to pay where as the latter tax tends to hit people at the lower end of the economic spectrum the hardest. Voting for candidates who support a flat tax or replacing a progressive tax with a littany of regressive ones is voting against your own class interests.
Well the flat tax is good for the middle class... it keeps all the middle class at there 30% avg. and just catches everyone else besides those in poverty to the 30% rate, this would generate tons of money that a lot of good could be done with... also your the sales tax(fair tax) is totally unfair because it puts the tax burden on the middle class again at an even greater disadvantage then the current system because the top would generate less then it currently does at there lowly 15% rate.

Dennis Kucinich is the Dennis Kucinich of the Democratic party, nay, of America! He doesn't need to be Ron Paul. Ron Paul wants to get rid of a lot of federal programs other than the IRS, such as the Department of Education. I don't think that many people really want to get rid of those, but Dennis would most likely cut the war on drugs (also, he would create huge numbers of jobs). Its not about lowering the taxes... you would receive much more help by keeping ur taxes the same while the top 5% who pay less of a % then u would be raised to ur rate. you would never have to pay for health care or education again along with other programs that would give u much more spending money than just simple lower taxes. This is what people dont get sometimes lower taxes doesnt really mean more money especially if ur paying out more in bills in exchange for the tax break.

He also favors a radical rehaul of the tax code, but mainly to make it progressive. The reason Paul's raised twice the money of Kucinich is due to his regressive taxation policy (i.e. things like a flat tax), which gets interest from the ross perots and steve forbeses of this country. A graduated Income tax is a more fair than a sales tax because the former tax is based on a person's ability to pay where as the latter tax tends to hit people at the lower end of the economic spectrum the hardest. Voting for candidates who support a flat tax or replacing a progressive tax with a littany of regressive ones is voting against your own class interests.

Well the flat tax is good for the middle class... it keeps all the middle class at there 30% avg. and just catches everyone else besides those in poverty to the 30% rate, this would generate tons of money that a lot of good could be done with... also your the sales tax(fair tax) is totally unfair because it puts the tax burden on the middle class again at an even greater disadvantage then the current system because the top would generate less then it currently does at there lowly 15% rate.

Although Iraq, Iran, and monetary policy are the three issues that are most important to me and both Paul and Kucinich have the right vision on those fronts, I did ultimately decide to register as a Republican, since my state has a closed primary and I had to choose one or the other. Its not about lowering the taxes... you would receive much more help by keeping ur taxes the same while the top 5% who pay less of a % then u would be raised to ur rate. you would never have to pay for health care or education again along with other programs that would give u much more spending money than just simple lower taxes. This is what people dont get sometimes lower taxes doesnt really mean more money especially if ur paying out more in bills in exchange for the tax break.

great commentary. I commend Gravel and Kucinich for their anti-war stances, but Ron Paul is definately in a league of his own when it comes to enforcing the Constitution.

Has he impeached Cheney? No, so as far as I can see, he's all bark and no bite. Not that I don't respect him and he wasn't bite on other issues, but this one is too important!

'All bark and no bite' would be drafting impeachment legislation largely as a political stunt. Sure, Dennis thinks its appropriate, and so do I, but you'd think he'd present a better case, or go about it in a more effective way. Impeachment is not an easy process. Kucinich is good, but he is no Paul. Wait, why are we arguing??

Ron Paul: Anti-Abortion; Kucinich: Pro-Choice. I'd vote for Kucinich since he's vegan, he'd be motivated to abolish more bad than any others. Vegans positively affect everything: environment, ethics, health, etc. The US federal reserve is in unbearable debt (trillions - too much to be ABLE to pay back), so the NAU is going to form new political barriers that will change currency. How will ron paul restore the republic? By letting cheney and co. get away with their crimes. He will restore the republic just the way Gerald Ford restored the republic by pardoning Nixon after Nixon resigned and Ford became president. That really restored the integrity and credibility of the white house, didnt it, letting a former president get away with his crimes? ron paul lies when he says he is a true constitutionalist.

Ron Paul is not anti-abortion. He is anti government. He doesn't necessarily agree with abortion but believes that the government should not fund this. I personally think all abortion is murder. Period.

Mike Gravel is a vocal opponent on the war on drugs and the income tax structure. The National Initiative for Democracy is the tool we need take on these flawed institutions and bring government to the people. Through the National Initiative, Gravel will be a legislative leader for the people as our president.
the only difference is gravel & kucinich are not opponents of the federal reserve.

May I add to you're last quote sir, "Ron Paul raised 5 million last quarter." Yes he did and it is from the people as he does NOT take corporate donations as the other candidates do.
I'm not sure about the Big K man on this subject I'll have to investigate. Ron Paul has the most meet up groups,1116 which is more then all the other candidates combined. Second closest is Sen.Obama with 60. Giuliani has 0. This is testimony of what the people want.

He doesn't support paul's libertarian economic agenda, you're right. Probably because it isn't clear from that how you regulate runaway corporate welfare. Paul opposes it, but how do you stop that if not through the state? But you're wrong elsewhere: Kucinich opposes the wars on drugs and crime, favors legalization of at least some forms of pot, favors tighter regulation of the fed to make it accountable.

He also favors a radical rehaul of the tax code, but mainly to make it progressive. The reason Paul's raised twice the money of Kucinich is due to his regressive taxation policy (i.e. things like a flat tax), which gets interest from the ross perots and steve forbeses of this country. I have no right to say what's good for your community, but do you really think helping the rich is part of that?

Republicans: Got us out of Korea and Vietnam - It was Republican congress that passed Civil Rights amendments and Republicans that freed the slaves
Democrats: Fought to keep slavery. Gave all our Gold to a predominately foreign and privately controlled bank (Fed Reserve), Dropped 2 h-bombs, took us into korea, took us into and perpetuated vietnam, opposed civil rights amendments, and voted to transfer war powers to the current "neo-con" president!!

Truth: Republican congress, DID, pass civil rights amendments - Blacks in this country were entirely Republican until Lyndon Johnson passed "Affirmative Action" and created the "Great Society" (welfare state). So, yes it was the Republican lead Congress that passed Civil Rights Amendments, as nearly all the Democrats were southern conservatives. David Duke and his Father (like) Gore were former slave owners - Duke switched to Repubs to follow "neo-con" infiltration.
