The bible clearly indicates that Mary didn't have sex and that her pregnancy was an issue. @Numinous20111 I don't think that would answer anything. The only way to remove all the unanwered questions from ones life is to simply stop asking them. A question like "Will I still exist after my life on Earth has ceased?" can never truly be answered until you die, and at that point the question will no longer matter either way. For this reason, I believe that agnostic atheism is the way to go.
The problem with religion is that it's conceptual, so is atheism. Atheists argue conceptually (e.g.the spaghetti monster) So do religious people. I'd advise people to look at their actual experience rather than interpreting it through conceptual symbolic thinking and they'll have their answers.

The bible clearly indicates that Mary didn't have sex and that her pregnancy was an issue. A question like "Will I still exist after my life on Earth has ceased?" can never truly be answered until you die, and at that point the question will no longer matter either way. For this reason, I believe that agnostic atheism is the way to go.

@Thoughtland Yeah, but Genesis 1 is NOT a creation story. It's a hymn or poem of praise, albeit by a theist. Genesis 2 is written by somebody else altogether and that is not a creation story either. It has lone been thought of as an aetiological myth about the origin of suffering - i.e human choices. The detail is not meant to be factual. However, there is a facinating alternative theory from Dr Francesca Stravidopolou (or something) from Exeter uni. There are no creation stories in the bible.
