  • to be fair to Cube, the songs about Black people only portraying minor, stupid characters. at least he's getting lead roles etc, so as much as it is a sell out its not quite the same

  • Public Enemy is my favorite rap performers of all time.

  • from basque country : Amazin P.E

  • Possibly greatest mc's in that video!

  • TAKO SE TO RADI.WOW!

  • Fukin Sickkkkk Track Kane Killz It As Usual

  • @WCarnation if you don't understand the song it's about how hollywood exploit blacks in a Negative light!!" Cube is NOT putting black people in a negative light, so kill that noise if you don't know what your talking about peace... Cube keep doing your thing out!!

  • scripted filmed entertainment is reverse engineering of causal deterministic order effect through gravitational collapse of light through the camera

  • funny that the n word is cut then but not now. progress for sure.

this song is awesome, and what a great video.

  • my teacher gave me this song to rap to in front of this class and make a beat to it

  • Of course Ice Cube would never appear in a single bland, big-budget Hollywood movie.

    -

He's appeared in at least four.

  • Ice Cube is down with the PE! G.O.A.T

If a bomb had gone off in that cinema we would have lost so much.

  • flavs chicken shack

  • Check the video of Rockin'squat: 'I'm not Hollywood", he is a french famous rapper.

  • tony hawk : DD

  • "Get me the hell away from this TV" Made me get off my Lazy Tony Hawk playing butt and skate for real. thank you public enemy. without you I would be fat.

  • T.H.A.W

    FTW

    =D

  • Hollywood Still Hasnt Changed! #OCCUPY HOLLYWOOD

  • BDK murdered it!

  • "Yo I got Black Caesar at the crib, yall wanna go check that out??" Like that's any better....LOL.

  • Not much has changed....once in awhile the hymies throw black people a bone, but for the most part they put them in garbage, stereotypical roles or don't cast them at all. The Blind Side is typical of the moguls mentality: black people need whites' help to advance or make something for themselves....sickening.

  • @rickvaughn Don't mistake kikes for Whites. The Jew is the enemy of all races- Whites, Blacks, Asians, Hispanics, you name it.

  • @dbcozy The dbcozy is the enemy of progression in human society.

  • @dbcozy You are joking right? My family is partly Jewish and am I talking to Hitler?

  • The Help???????

I bet it gets Oscar & other movie award considerations.smdh

  • I'd hate to be black in america. Lucky i'm white in Canada. Lol

  • This is real hip hop. Now we got garbage rappers like Rick Ross

  • Ice Cube is down with the P.E. What about in Jackin' 4 beats when he decks flavor flav lol.

  • BURN TYLER PERRY and FLAVOR FLAV

  • Does anyone notice that it is a minute longer than the one on the Album

  • What about Sidney Portier :D

  • whoever his dislike is a ___ !! word #salute

  • @NoQuestionMusic mean to say *HIT dislike....yall need to WAKE THE F UP!

  • Yeah Kane!

  • The ultimate irony of Ice Cube being in this song

  • @WCarnation how is it irony?

  • @WCarnation that was the real cube my brother

  • @WCarnation hahaha, well said.

  • Interesting how with all the great messages put out by artists such as PE, we still have people selling their dignity in Hollywood everyday.

  • @zoo05zoo i agree

  • is that a chik beside chuck?

  • yoo Who`s the cute chick siiting beside chuck?? damn!! i like

  • Wow. This is why these guys have no fame anymore. Fucking Jews rule everything. Thats why they selected Obama to put the black's of America as ease while they continue to rape a pillage.

    Watch: War By Deception

  • @hailtotheking324 I wish I was as stupid as you are. The world would be a much easier place to oversimplify.

  • @hailtotheking324 Whoa man, let's not start playing the Jew cards.

  • how ironic is Ice Cube's verse when you listen to this now

  • haha he said jigaboo

  • i like how most of the people whom rapped in this are now in movies and/or television shows...

@Kalsiddon4ever: by the way, everyone love public enemy, even the weirdos and those who normally do not like rap. except those 24 people who disliked i suppose.

  • @Klowd2323 Yeah, talk about hypocrisy. But racism is pretty much dead. It's about financial status now. All poor people are pretty much niggas to the elite, and that includes the blacks and spaniards.

  • @electricturf Spaniards are european ppl...spain is in europe...they are white ppl who originated the spanish language...I think you meant to say latin or hispanic ppl...those are "brown" ppl, in central and south america....spain (which is of Europe) conquered most of central and south america and imposed its language and customs much like western Europe did north america

  • @electricturf M8 you are absolutely spot on! re. London

  • the intro is harder than anything on the radio 2011!!!!!!!

  • Dope song when Hip Hop made sense and taught you something... today you have jiggaboo uncle tom rappers rapping nonsense for the allmighty dollar

  • big daddy is smooth word to mother

  • Finnish cinema used to stereo type Romanis and Russians the same way. Thats mostly stopeed but still there arent usually important Romani or Russian characters in Finnish films, not that i usually watch them. Foreing films are usually better.

  • I miss gangsta flava flave. now he's sold out

  • You know what the same thing here applies to Chicanos. There are plenty of Mexicans in America who are teachers, lawyers, students, engineers and doctors. We aren't just drug dealers and maids. They have to show more than the bad because you'll just continue to enforce stereotypes. I speak english, I got to college, I vote, I work for what I earn instead of stealing it or using welfare checks and it's possible to be a proud American and still hold onto your culture. I do that everyday!

  • 燃やせ燃やせ燃やせ~~~~~!!

  • ice cube is down with the pe

  • HOLLYWOOD======HOLLYWEIRD

  • that song is so outdated, black people are a so important part in the movies.

  • you know whats funny and sad.. in real life flavor flav took that role (

  • this is gospel

  • Kane fucking kills it.

  • if anything i feel Al Jolson portrayed how pathetic black face is, and how the only way (at the time) a Jewish person could make it in Hollywood was through black face.

  • fly is pig.big pig

  • I think Flava should watch this video before making another crappy show on MTV

  • i checked out that book Chuck.D was intrviewed for, really awesome read, book"s callled -HOW .TO,RAP -

such a good interview list in that book, they spoke with Tribe-Called.Quest, Pharcyde, Brand Nubian ,Hiero, Pharoahe Monch, Cypress Hiill, etc.

  • flava is the biggest hypocrite of them all. At least Ice cube made good movies like friday.

  • @beatnik8tv ICE CUBE NEEDS TO MAKE A MOVIE ABOUT NAT TURNER

  • Sad that Slava Slav is a part of the machine now. He's exactly what's described in the lyric (since the Surreal Life).

  • @enterthesleep lol slava slave that had me laughin for 3 mins straight

  • I forgot Kane was on this!

  • I love old school rap music, there's no naked women and lyrics with sense !!

  • Don't fight the power, burn the motherfucker

  • ice cube to me seems like he was the first lil wayne

  • Hollywood uber alles! DAMN and This world is probably a perfect mess Ghetto cos the other invisible ubermensch!!

  • They were talking about the type of Hollywood that degrades blacks

  • OL SCHOOL JOINT!....bangin!

  • I hate when these videos censor the "bad words."

  • i used to rock this shit while playing tony hawk proskater n64 eating freezies yo

  • NOT HQ, BAD AUDIO QUALITY!

  • Here in COLOMBIA, even metalheads like oldschool rap. Terminator X we love you. Kisses from BOGOTÁ. (Excusme by the copy)

  • @pachoperbat Word up! i started out at 8 on an old acoustic guitar and at 15,16 to 18 or sumthin like that i played rhythm guitar in a goth metal/black metal band.. Now the rebellism of punk and metal are more visable in hip hop... peace from Narvik Norway

  • @pachoperbat Yay! Shout-out to Bogota! Next time I'm down there, I'll bring my Anthrax and Iron Maiden records...and PE, too :P

  • now ice cube is on holloywood makin damn shitty movies

  • @SnakesBlues That always made me laugh, Cube's 'Fuck Hollywood' ending.... now look at him! haha

  • @SnakesBlues Whether he's making shitty movies or not, he's always hired up and coming black actors in his movies. For example Chris Tucker, John Witherspoon,Nia Long,Mike Epps, Katt Williams and even the now successful Terry Crews. Ice Cube opened a lot of doors for black actors. You should give him credit for that at least.

  • @SnakesBlues yeah the dumbass shouldve looked up spike lee before sticking his dick in whatever looked good at the time

  • @SnakesBlues

Ah, remind me of The Boondocks.

"-You know who was my favorite rapper when I was your age?

    -Who?

    -Ice Cube.

-Ice Cube? That dude who make family movies? He was a rapper?

-He was the most gangsta of them all. I used to have dreams about him coming into my house at night and killing my whole family.

    -Whoa!"

  • I'm a metalhead and I happen to love Old School rap

  • Awesome video. Saw this on Video Music Box back in 91. Fuck Hollywood. Stereotypes even more today. Stereotypes all races!

  • This song is too much for the average hip-hop fan......chuck D, Ice cube and BDK........it doesn't get any better than this

  • I love this song when I am playing Tony Hawk American Wasteland just for fun.

  • I love when rap was about callin out punk ass crooked cops...I say kill all those motherfuckers..they break the laws they enforce and the higher ups protect their own! Thank god for camera phones and the like. makes you feel safe knowing these fuckin cops are patrolling the streets knowing they can do whatever they want. FUCK the POLICE!!!

  • Str8 up cognitive hiphop!

    Cube sold out to hollyweird.smh

  • @IceManLikeGervin did he make blacks look bad?? more like he set an example

  • @SZS0001

Did I say he made blacks look bad? No, I did not.

  • @IceManLikeGervin thats the moral of this song is hollywood in history made black people look bad, until blacks themselves started to make movies

  • @SZS0001

    You mean like Tyler Perry.lol

Ice Cube's movies are the agendanized norm he's not making any type of empowerment or critical thinking movies or sitcoms like his music in the 90s represented he has conformed. Not to mention most of his movies have the gay black man in the cast.

Hollyweird still puts out negative stereotypes like a crack head hits the base pipe. Denzel Oscar for being a thugged out cop. Halle Oscar for being a hoe.

    2011- burn, hollyweird, burn!!

  • @IceManLikeGervin wtf is "AGENDANIZED"?? white boy trying to be a black dude in 'barbershop'.. exploring life in the hood in 'friday' with a sense of comedy..kid learning about greed and selfness, producing and playing a secluded black man rejoining society in 'lottery ticket'..produced the 'black.white' series exploring life in families of different races..'are we there yet' is merely for kids but still has a moral behind it...'first sunday' jackin the church and then realizing the wrong-doing

  • @SZS0001

Have a good life- all the best.

  • Burn hollywood Burn and it has Ice Cube from Are We There Yet? and Flavor Flav from Flavor of Love... damn they really meant what they said huh...

  • @supmayne1 You can't really blame them for the "Show biz limelight" since nowadays no one gives a fuck about messages in their music. The zombie public is so quick to like a beat with a catchy hook with no message to label it as "hip hop" when in reality it's more on the "pop-scene" similar to boy bands in the 90's they'll soon fade away.

  • @irepelay KRS ONE and Immortal Technique and Rugged Man and many others didnt sell out... And they are like the best in the business...

  • @supmayne1 Yeah, that may be true but another factual statement would be this. Shitty ringtone rappers are making more money than any of the 3 emcees you stated. I'll support genuine rappers in EVERYTHING they do! You can't tell me that cause Tupac made movies therefore he's a fake? Same thing with NaS and Method Man. I respect those people for being in the forefront to open doors for more black actors. Gotta make money where you can. We'd do the same if we lost our jobs. Can't blame them.

  • Fight the power! :D

  • burn hollywood burn! (unless they offer you millions to do black movies designed to appeal to a black audience mainly for the profit of white people)

  • @trademarktaz you do know that this song dropped 22 years ago right? Don't know how old you are- but I remember 88 pretty well and a black directed, black lead movie did not exist on the big screen unless it was the Color Purple or Glory which still showed blacks as slaves,, and with little to no intellect. Since this period- there are quite a few of these movies. you should study the words steady and slow progression and keep your ignorant criticisms to yourself and away from the masses.

  • @rippy40 i'm sorry to upset you but what i said was true and directed at ice cube and the irony of this song vs. whats happening today. if you can remember 88 clearly but think like that in your older age, i feel sorry for anyone like you.

  • Let's TP Hollywood as in south park.

  • They also were very racist towards Italians in old movies too. I can relate to this.

  • @AggressivePrefector You mean they aren't anymore? :l

    (cf. Jersey Shore)

  • @Lioyd1rving Not has bad as it used to be. I hate Jersey Shore. Most racist show on TV right now that I can think of.

  • @AggressivePrefector Yes, I agree. KRS-ONE alluded to this fact in an interview. I don't even watch Mafia movies, and to be brutally honest, just like I like films that show more of an accurate depiction of my race, I also would like to see films about the Italians who are regular, hard-working, everyday Italians. I would also like to see some historical documentaries that cover things like the fucked-up Sacco-Vanzetti situation back in the day. Not every Italian is a Mafia cat. Peace.

  • I forgot Ice-cube was in this. I admit his career confuses me. It might be easy to consider him a sell-out, saying how he did this video and all. However, I can also see the point that he can go out, make movies, make his money, etc. Like any other actor, black or white. Maybe Hollywood has leveled out the playing field in that regard.

  • If every Black entertainer saw this, or even knew the history of Blacks in the entertainment industry, our culture, our rap, our movies would be empowering and not the Chitlin Circuit, bamboozling, minstrel shows that are in pop culture today...

  • I love this song and music video. I'm glad there were songs and music videos like these when I was a kid. Now there's nothing but bullshit. (ShakingMyHead) Hollywood's winning, we have to kill their influence off.

  • Fack hollywood

  • 21 people called the fire dept for Hollywood

  • I went last night also ... agreed fucking INCREDIBLE !!!!

  • Just got to see Public Enemy live for the first time in Christchurch, New Zealand last night. INCREDIBLE!!! Only downside was all of the talking in between songs which didn't really go anywhere, kinda seemed like they were chewing up time.... Still, GREAT band, and their back up band was SCORCHING!!!

  • All of their albums came with the lyrics back in the day. They were really saying something important unlike most of todays artists (Big up PHILLY BAYARD ST 7900

    EITHY B)

  • Chuck D oldschool 4life homies if u like that too vote up

  • You could say a rappers a legend when u could automatically tell his voice.

  • peep Kanes Wallabees!!! This was real Hip Hop!!

  • Chuck D is king

  • Here in France, even metalheads LOVE Oldschool rap. Chuck D we love you. Kisses from Paris !

  • @Kalsiddon4ever even reggae hippies like me love this kind of music man...it has something to say...its not about :"gangsta".money, chicks and other miserable stuff like today's rap...THIS IS TRUE HIP HOP

  • @Kalsiddon4ever hell yea, i'm a metal head and this old skool rap is the shit, I used to listen to this alot back then.

  • @Kalsiddon4ever we do 2 here in belgium! :)

  • anno 2010, this songs is still up2date for arabs and muslims, they still make us all look bad. Burn Hollywood, Burn zionist, shoot them motherfuckers.

  • cube goes in on this and then make movies like "are we there yet?" Wonder if he thinks that is a great portrayal of black americans.

  • @stevenjm12 So true!!!!

  • Funny how songs like this made so long ago still apply today. And white amerikkka thinks we should be happy because there is a Black president? MAKES ME LAUGH WHEN ITALIAN AMERICANS COMPLAIN ABOUT THE SOPRANOS. I WISH BLACKS ONLY HAD ONE MAJOR SHOW OR COMMERCIAL THEY WERE UNHAPPY WITH BECAUSE OF NEGATIVE PORTRAYAL.So what if Aunt Jamima has a perm now? Still to this day, a company thinks a perm will fix all misdeeds!

DON'T FIGHT THE POWER, SHOOT THE MOTHERFUCKER!

  • East and West Connection right there Luv it. These are the pioneers

  • Good jam...BUT, Ice Cube & Flavor Flav are nothing but Hollywood now. I bet this old song makes them cringe and remember when they had their own voice. Long live Chuck D. and his principles!

  • Soulja Punk,Fake, and Lil' Shit Stain: Pay attention to this so that way all of you clowns can understand what true rap music is.

  • @oldschoolbx1970 is it necessary to reply to EVERYONE'S comment?

  • @Y3TIFREAK My brothah,I'm only agreeing on the comments they posted since they happen to be so very good for me to go along with.

  • bad ass tune. lol.

  • funny how this song now represents whats happened to popular rap music. Governments sure got wise to groups like PE.. knowing how powerful music can be.

  • @Phuzz828 Word.

  • @Phuzz828 Right on,brothah!

  • cube is still dope

  • def jam was the shit back n the day

  • @Levazoid Now it sucks.

  • Even though P.E's songs are basically anti-white people, I still love them <3

  • @Battlefield2021 It's not that the songs are anti-white, they are pro-Black. You can be pro-Black without being anti-white.

  • Decent Representation Of Black People in Hollywood Film: Are We There Yet? You have to wonder... if former anti-establishment rappers like Ice Cube, Ice-t and Queen Latifah who've been very outspoken against the police, the government and the entertainment industry are invited to play the very roles they modeled themselves to be opposed to - well- what does that say about their own convictions? Did Hollywood aggressively recruit these rebels with an agenda to expose and exploit them?

  • Big Daddy Kane murdered this track

  • Burn Bush Burn I smell a crime against the freedom,That still goes on,Obama ain`t

    better.

  • @MrDJPPR

too bad you don't know shit about politics. you don't even have reasons for hating them. GG bro, gtfo.

  • Comment removed

  • I HOPE THE JEWS DROP A BOMB ON HOLLYWOOD, FULL OF SHIT THAT DOESNT MATTER UST THEIR TO BRAINWASH U

  • @st8yboy Jews own half of Hollywood.

  • @directorlog more than half sadly

  • @directorlog Jews own not only half of hollywod, they own your whole system. Everything you see on tv, hear on the radio etc. America = Israel.

  • IF YOU PROPER LITEN TO P.E THEY ALL BOWT FUKIN UPILLUMINATI

  • real rap like this isn't as popular as it used to be as people are more into crap like lil wayne and soulja boy garbage so i respect that they find other avenue's to make money like flav on vh1 and cube in movies. They still make good rap albums.

  • @motley8oy You hit the nail right on the head.

  • fuck hollywood im hollyhood lol says decevio and n.w.o p.e the best

  • Flava Flav has become that 'controversial negro'. :(

  • How far Flava Flav has fallen...

  • yup cube is making movies & got his cube vision company happening, which means alot more jobs for black employees. hes matured since then

  • They should title this song. Burn 50 Cents Burn. I also find it ironic that Ice Cube became part of hollwood. Maybe they made this song becuase they were pissed they were rejected when they went to audition for movies, etc. Btw, Longshots was a great movie. L o n e s h o t s. Instead of criticizing Hollywood, when didn't they just get some acting lessons?

  • controversial negro

  • 'InThisRain' -- reply to you .... he did not loathe Hollywood, he is throwing a middle finger to the way that Hollywood portrayed the black race......he went to Hollywood whilst remaining a hardcore HipHop artist taking with him his persona.... you missed the point

  • It's a shame how the hiphop industry promotes young boys like soldier boy,lil wayne, bowwow, etc, I guessits the homosexuality Eddie Long like freakyness coming out of our culture,

  • @jurnagin The Zulu nation will agree with you on that one 100% without even halfsteppin'.

  • I hope Sun Ra's "Space Is the Place" isn't one of those black films that move him. lol

  • This song is about changing the stereotypes of blacks in film, not to avoid films. I think it is great that they were able to break through to make the films they wanted.

  • This song is ironic now because Cube, Kane and Flav have all had success in film..
