  • Yes you can pretty much add what you like as long as the quantities are not too huge...

  • I throw in a pinch or two of carawai seed, just like my Mom did in Latvia.  Adds a very good flavor. She also threw in a handful of fresh cranberry.

  • Hello, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Life in Poland is probably rather different to life in the Philippines. However, you may have a recipe like this for cabbage in your cuisine? I know the South Koreans like to pickle their cabbage...

Yes we have other recipes, when you ar makeing cabbage, you cam put in some apples inside, they are very good in taste and giving nice aroma to the cabbage, allso we are makeing fermented salad, it has to be salad from Lactuca sativa group, others isn`t good, and one of the specials sre fermented mushrooms, there are several kinds wchich you can ferment, but the best are Lactarius deliciosus if you are interested write to me.
