I imagine back in 1968 Clokey Productions couldn't get the rights to sing the real "Happy Birthday To You" song, so they substituted it with this "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" variation. But all that changed in 1988, when they DID get the rights for the song
Hey guys, thanks for your patience. Gonna try and get a few more eps up today but unfortunately I am no longer taking any more requests at this point.
There's a goof at the beginning: Pokey says "if you blow ALL THE CANDLES out, your wish comes true!" but Prickle's cake has ONLY ONE candle on it!
Man, Prickle sounded a little whiny at times in these late 1960s episodes didn't he? (I guess I'm more used to hearing Prickle in the 1988 episodes.)

I liked it when Gumby made Pokey mad and Pokey put a whoopin on Gumby. Mean Pokey episodes were awesome!

@chr1s524 thanks bro. My mom grew up watching Gumby on Sundays. She was born in '65 and me, '95 and I first encountered him from the Gumby VHS.
