NPC's walking through portals

you may be right. There are two instances where G-man uses portals at black mesa - one in HL1, the other in Opposing Force.

That is an amazing thing you did there! I thouht NPCs couldnt go through portals, they wouldnt do it for me, even when I was working in the hammer editor. Anyway, nice job!

This is NOT gmod,he spawned Gman with the console.

@Slade95594 Not quite, this isn't gmod or Console. This is a custom map I made in Hammer with the gman spawned at map creation. It would otherwise be impossible to give him a path to walk on.

Hey everyone. No, this isn't gmod, I'm just using a path and trigger trick. I set gmans next path entity to be one just behind the first portal (which is a few units in front of the wall) but when he walks through a small trigger around the portal it sets his next path the be the one in front of the second so he continues walking. @TehhCake it does , but very buggy versions of it , i heard that Garry is trying to make a deal with valve to give him the extra hidden coding in steam , so he will make a normal portal gun for everyone

I have some questions. Can you get Source SDK and Hammer through Steam? Do I need both Source SDK and Source SDK Base to make a mod or map? And how can I use this "console" thingy?

console: go to options, then advanced options, then check "enable develper's console" or something like that. use the ` key to use

to get source SDK and hammer: go to steam, then tools, then install the source SDK tool

to spawn a hl2 charater, type in console "npc_create npc_(charater name)" zombie for example, "npc_create npc_zombie"
