Most of the time its because of The engines running at a higher rpm on a stock pump without a cooler won't hold up on a built engine through quick changing rpms they heat up quick. It drains the shit out of the crank its almost like having the resistance of a supercharger lol. Plus its a v belt setup which slows it down anyway getting the tension right on theses cars is fun no preset load so over tightining it is easy

to be completely honest, neither sound that good. the Pontiac sounded better, no question. but there was still some unattractive whine (might have just been the camera though).
The best-sounding cars IMO are the new (2008+) German and Italian sports cars. BMW's, Audis, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, etc. are awesome to listen to.
