i really really hope the new movie wil haral the rebirth of star trek and not kill it because if its not a hit we all know we can say bye bye to the amazing universe of gene rodenbery whos show showed us it dosnt matter if your black, russian, woman, asian we can all work together
I share your enthusiasm for continuing Gene's dream. However, I think that Star Trek cannot ever truely die. It might go away for a while...but it will constantly be resurrected by people who are inspired by the Roddenberry imagination. Books, art, music, film, computer games, reference materials, television shows...Star Trek is buried VERY deeply into our culture.
Star Trek Bridge Commander is a great game, if you can't find it in a store or can't afford it, you can find it on torrent sites like Mini Nova and Pirate bay for free.
Hey buddy. I just noticed that the original NCC-1701 and the NX-01 was not in the picture. Were you going to make another vid? If so we'd really like to see that. Thanks man.
Neither were Deep Space Nine nor the Defiant nor Voyager, but that was awesome. May the CBS-owned "Star Trek" franchise continue to give us the hope we need "to boldly go where no one has gone before" now and forevermore. "Live long and prosper!" Thanks for uploading, Trekfan02!
Almost two years after his death, approximately one-quarter ounce (7 grams) of Doohan's ashes were sent into space,as he had requested in his will. The ashes, along with those of Mercury astronaut Gordon Cooper as well as almost 200 others, were launched on the SpaceLoft XL rocket, with the ashes payload still inside. The rest of his ashes were scattered over Puget Sound in Washington
This clip is so touching!!! The music, with the elegant ship coming through, slide show all the character its so damn touching. I almost cry because of this clip. The words you added are perfectly great. Nice jobs there...
Another Trek Movie is coming out soon, Directed by the same guy who does LOST i hope he can rejuvinate the the spirit of Star Trek so future generations can enjoy watching their future generations.
A wonderful and tasteful tribute to those whom pondered the future and believed in its goodness. Star Trek was more than just TV and Film, it was a way to show us our future possibilities
Now, who will help us carry this burden of vision to inspire us to the next level beyond our solar system and achieve these wonderful dreams..........
Excellent work! Very well put together video and an inspiring choice of music.I hope we get to see many more from you!!
Oh and in response...
"The actors that played Scotty and McCoy have passed away, but Shatner and Takei are still alive!"
INDEED! Shatner is on the weekly Boston Legal TV show...and George Takei was just on the new Comedy show.."Thank God you are here"..Just google "George Takei + thank god you are here TV show...they have a clip!
This is truly amazing. I am going to college to become a designer of rockets and I have to say I was inspired by Gene. I would wonder how many other people who will change the world have been started by this one man.
Gee Rodenberry got the idea of a space ship when he was playing in a box in his backyard when he was seven. The actors Captain Kirk, Scotty, and Sulu have passed away also. They are also making yet another enterprise show this year. It is stil going to have the latest enterprise in it.
Let me please clarify why I left out Voyager DS9 and Enterprise. Don't get me wrong I think those were great spin-offs, but Gene Roddenberry's original idea was the USS Enterprise NCC-1701. I interpreted this as the Original and TNG crew involved while Roddenberry was alive. Myself and others at Happy Korean Film Co. are discussing a FULL Star Trek vid. So keep a lookout friends;)
do you have a cell phone? The inventor of the Cell phone was inspired by Trek to to Invent the Cell Phone and the inventor of the Very first Home computer named it after a planet from Star Trek, and that computer inspired Bill Gates and Steve Jobs to Found a two little Companies called Mac and Microsoft, so you couldn't write your little comment without Star Trek, have some respect
You know, if you don't have anything positive to say then don't say it. I realize its a opinion but I find it insulting and you don't know how much im restraining myself to knockin you on yo ass. It just may as well be some of the future outcome. Space exploration will always be the future no matter what comes out of your mouth.
They did not konw for shure what the show was about untillthe 7th Movie (Generations) that was not till after Gean Roddenberry died I think, but I still thought it was amazing, A wonderfule tribute to a star trek deprived world
Godfather Roddenbery would be proud to see what his imagination and vision has done for the human race. Knowing that the star trek has lasted the test of time and inspired so many people and companies to use his vision to better man kind. Not only for exploration of space but the exploration of earth and its people.
Is there a way for me to obtain this video for my own usage? I would like to show it to my dad and friends who love Star Trek. The only thing is that it takes forever to get this downloaded on my browser. Thanks very much as I said before...it brings back many of a great memory.

It's from the Gladiator soundtrack. The song is "Now We Are Free" and the artist is Lisa Gerrard from Dead Can Dance -- she's made many solo albums and did the soundtrack for Whalerider. She's been a featured performer on Music from the Hearts of Space (hos.com). She often sings in her own personal language. Her song "Sanvean (I'm Your Shadow)" has been used in a number of television dramas in montage scenes, notably on "The West Wing".
I have never seen a more stunning tribute to Mr. Roddenbery's vision, the music from Gladiator really blends with the animation and stills. Gene (and Starfleet) would be very, very proud.
Beatiful. This video is so sincere, earnest and poignant. One of the best in You Tube. A real gem. I found it real moving too. I hope any member of the Star Trek crew comes across it. You make trekkies proud. Thank you.
A nice tribute, but "Star Trek" also includes cast, crew, and ships from DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise (despite how many of us may feel about these spinoffs). Perhaps a better title for this peice would be "Tribute to the USS Enterprise" or something similar.
Also, the music is from the soundtrack from the film "The Gladiator".
that was awesome a big round of applause to you that was absolutly class and those were very affectionate words bout the whole thing ang gene rodenberry he did have one hell of a vision well done
This was really cool and it brought back many memories of sitting down with my pop watching Star Trek from the beginning till the end and even beyond. Thank you very much for reminding me that life is indeed good.
you are all fucking nerds. besides fucking star wars is better.and star wars is gay.

Beautiful musical score. People need to take a good look at Excelsior before making a CGI. The warp nacelles do not glow that way.
