OH MAN this is soo funny! My bf and I drove across the U.S. this summer and we went through OK at night and were desperate for a place to stop and go to sleep. The tom tom said that a budget inn in Checotah was the closest place, so we stopped. It was SO GHETTO the hotel "office" was the counter at the gas station next door and there were a million beetles EVERYWHERE hahah. I now believe Carrie when she says she comes from a small town. =P

That gas station you guys were at is (was) called Buddies. It's closed down now though. Crazy thing too is that that's not the only stoplight in town now..lol.. There's a couple in front of Shelton's grocery store now.

haha we did enjoy! and i don't think it was a loser of a town! we went to some cake store down the street and got some delicious cupcakes. and we went to the print shop and got some t-shirts and signed that book they have there... we were there for like a total of 20 minutes tops, but it was fun nonetheless. :)
