  • mag tagalog nga kayo leche..... ang babarok nyo >.<

  • After Aswang starring Alma Moreno, this is my second best Filipino horror movie. It's realistic, less visual effect. The best part: when the 'manananggal' faces the guy from Canada. It was perfect. Seems real.

  • Thanks to whomever for the link to watch this online. I live in the Philippines and have yet to see this film anywhere; we can't even find a torrent! Salamat po!

  • huwaaaaat? "award winning director"....hahahahahahaha...thats so funny.:))))))

  • im impressed... when is this showing?

  • This movie was not dubbed in English per se. It's in both English and Tagalog throughout.

It's about balikbayan siblings who grew up in Canada and hardly speak Tagalog. However, the people they encounter in the Philippines speak Tagalog in the film (except when speaking to them, since they barely speak the native tongue).

And this is scary as heck.

  • It's not a scary movie that would freak me out!....I don't know but THE TENEMENT 2 is better than this......

  • Any torrent available???

  • i watched it...its really good

  • this is a great movie! I saw it when it came out and its really scary

  • i never seen this movie on the big screen but is there a chance that i can have the dvd of this film! i am really dying to see it!

  • kailan to pinalabas?

  • is this film available in the original language with ENGLISH subtitles on DVD? (in other words NOT dubbed--the American voices sound really bad. I prefer subtitles)

    if so, where?

  • I think those are the real voices... Romeo Candido intentionally scripted the film with Taglish in order to draw in the bourgie kids who only want to watch foreign films (since they wouldn't be caught dead going to a film in pure Tagalog). He wanted to reverse the stigma of lower quality that Filipino cinema has these days.

That's a shame; the voices in this trailer sound "unreal" like they were dubbed in a studio, maybe they'll sound better in the film. I don't understand the attitude of not seeing films in the original language. The Filipino film SIGAW did really well, and it was in the original language. In fact, it was picked up for an American remake--which I'm sure won't be as good as the original (which was really really good.)

  • Meh, it's just typical Filipino obsession with foreign things thanks to centuries of colonial mentality.

  • eisprinz

Well, since the former Colonialists all seem to be going down the tubes, maybe that will change.

    Let's hope...

  • um...i'm a balikbayan so the story is told in the point of view of a balikbayan...told in the point of view from a filipino who CAN'T speak filipino. sure i wanted to reverse the stigma of lower quality filipino films, but there's nothing colonized about the mentality. watch the movie and you'll see.

  • u can watch it with the original languange in asian-horror-movies. c om

  • WHERE CAN I BUY THIS IN DVD?

  • wow award winning director! HAHAHAHA :)

  • nice trailer 4 an indie film...

  • it's philippines

  • How come the dvd of this movie is not available in Filipino dvd stores in Toronto? Where can I buy one?

  • where n when can i watch dis?

  • This is awesome, Romeo, congrats....

  • are they new artist?

  • omg creepy
