Just for the record, communism is inspired from Marx 's ideas from Das Kapital, yet Marx's exact ideas were never put to the test. In Das Kapital, it says that A state which has reached the highest point of capitalist development , has to change (via revolution) to socialist control in order for Marxism to work. The first state to attempt this was Russia which was the poorest capitalized state at that time. So technically, Marx's ideas are still valid cause they were never put into practice.
