@AlizeRosenkreuz Alessandro Alessandroni is the one who composed the music for the movie if you look him up you may be able to find it. I think (im not sure for certain) that it may just bge devil's nightmare theme by Alessandro Alessandroni
This is a Masterpiece film, very dark and spooky,Erika Blanc gives a great performance and the rest of the cast is great as well. One of my favorite movies.
I got this masterpiece of Grindhouse yesterday as a part of a box called "Devil Worship Collection" or something creative like that... maybe that one's easier to find than the movie by itself, I don't know... but maybe it will help somebody who wanna own it :)
I must say CGI looks significantly more real than a cartoon. Thats the point of it..
Mind you, the twister in wizard of Oz was drawn, so.. while CGI has its place I think ingenuity rules supreme. Another good example is starwars. The older ones are far more engaging because of its real effects.
Actually, the twister in Wizard of Oz was made with a woman's stocking... thus proving your point even more.
CGI is overrated. I've seen it do some amazing stuff, but more often I've seen it look plastic and ugly. I also think the ease of digital image manipulation encourages today's moviemakers to go overboard with gaudy visuals. Compare how clean and beautiful the design and effects in the old Star Wars movies are next to the eyesores of the new trilogy. Sometimes less is more.
I enjoyed reading the opinions of se7en1976 and yohei72. Speaking of ingenuity ruling over glitz, one has only to look at the explosion scene and the last shot in "The Birds" to see what a brilliant mind can create; what looks like a full-fledged town it's actually a painted matte... We have Albert Whitlock to thank for that!
You can find this film on the Brentwood Video Sets where they have a bunch of older movies for a real cheap price. They have several different sets that this one is on.

That is one excellent severed head at 2:06. Honestly, I don't think I've ever seen such quality special effects in any horror movie ever.

This is one of my favorite European horror flicks from the 70s. Erika Blanc's outfit looked like it had a Vampirella influence.
