What do you use to record this? I tried using fraps, but it only captures the actual perspective window, or whichever window i'm using. Does anyone know; what the best program would be to use?
ur tutorial - although way too fast, really helped me out. I had to slow it down and rewind quite a few times but got there in the end thanks to you. It wouldnt necessarily require you to talk thru every single bit but if your mouse movements were a lot slower it could be easier followed. Nonetheless, as I said, thank you very much.
A: Go to (the drop down menu doesn't count, u can be in polygons, rendering what ever) Create->Polygon primitives->Interactive Creations.
B: Or if u already made the polygon u can go under the animation "shelf" and make a Locator (the green thing) for then to hold down "V" and drag the polygon on it.
C: and also if u already made the polygon, hold down "X" and drag it on the grid to the center
Hey, nice tutorial- I'm have a few problems though, can you help? When extruding the side detail at 2:00 (still uniformly after hitting the circular manipulator) the extruded faces aren't merging together, even though they look like they are! i.e. When I hit smooth the area goes lumpy and I cannot use the sculpt tool until I have merged all the extruded vertices. What am I doing wrong?? Is there a 'merge vertices' option in the extusion settings or something? Thanks a lot

such a high poly count! Normal mapping and even bump mapping would save alot of that geometry here

Forget that, found it. 'Keep Faces Together,' I new it had to be somewhere!
Thanks anyway
