i love this song and think, like enjoy the silence, that it is timeless. that coldplay made an alternate tribute video to DM is, i think, an exceptional form of flattery and a great allusion to the classic. go coldplay! i already loved you, but this makes me love you more!

Well. Even though I always knew this was a "tribute" to Enjoy the Silence, I´ve always managed to see beyond that and appreciate this video and song for it´s very own nature and beauty which are very different to the DM track.

Looking back at previous posts about the DM press conference I don't think Dave was actually upset with this video..I think he was just having fun with it..and Martin made this clear.. it is a great fun tribute that Im sure Anton wouldn't have done without checking with the guys first. Its fun to watch and pays tribute to the great enjoy the silence video..both are great songs..Viva Coldplay ..Viva Depeche :)

When David gahan was asked during a press conference in Germany about his opinion on this tribute he didnt comment and seemed pissed-off; he said " Oh no we don't speak about them"- meaning Coldplay....but then Martin Gore interfered saying: " well it was very nice from them to do this..they said they did it out of respect and love for depeche mode and we appreciate it"...Martin always the most polite member of DM:-)

Been a DM fan for almost 25 years and I happen to like Coldplay also. Coldplay themselves said this was their attempt at a video tribute made out of love and respect for Depeche Mode. So let's give these guys a break and try not to compare them against DM because it is obvious DM is in a completely different league altogether. Good song by the way!

There's some things that are perfect (Enjoy The Silence video is one of these things, so, this video is ugly, I know is a "tribute-cover" video, but come on, the song sucks, Coldplay sucks and lets be honets, Viva la vida album isn't so good as previous Coldplay records.
