There are also lots of origin stories about the Joker. My favorite is Jack Napier, failed stand up comic who had a sick wife and child. Desperate for money he gets talked into taking up the Redhoods mantel where the accident happens. When he returns home is wife and child has been killed, pushing him over the edge and making him psychotic
