okay. if u really wanna know how to do a burnout without backing up and putting it in drive, heres how. Put ur car in neutral, rev the engine to the highest point(at a stop), then while ur doing that put it into drive then punch it to the floor. can't guarantee itll be long but itll def spin the wheels and it will def not ruin your transmission as much.

really? Then how come Ive done it multiple times. what do you think double clutching is. obviously you let off the gas first. But double clutching you rev it in between shifts so the rpms go up so when youn start the next gear its already "pre started" so to speak. it works with most newer model cars but older ones, id say pre 2005 the transmission, I agree, would fuck itself up

I just rented a 2009 G6 GT from Enterprise for Superbowl Weekend. The car had only 7000 miles on it, it was brand new!! I once rented a fully loaded 2007 Grand Prix about 2 years ago, so I was sleeping on the G6 at first, until I actually got to drive one. I was impressed with the power this car has. It was so nice I couldn't miss treat it by burning out like that. I did speed and peel off fast a few times but I didn't want to burn out the tires like that. Enterprise takes very good care of me!!

depends on what your tryin to do a burnout in and what kind of transmission... front wheel drive cars with a standard transmission lock the e-brake and rev it up and dump the clutch, auto trans... nearly impossible to do a burnout cause they normaly dont spin they will pull the rear wheels, rear wheel drive cars auto trans hold foot on brake and give it gas lol, standard you have to rev it up dump the clutch then stomp the brake.
