Best vid I've seen of Video Flag. Usually I can't stand the addition of sound to silent video works, but Koxbox Statement is perfect, given Paik's sense of irony and his integration of cybernetics and buddhism. Bravo!
Very well put, and thank you for the flowers. Usually I can't stand the addition of sound to silent video works either, but in this case I had to make an exception. I stood in front of the flag for about 20 minutes, and at some point "Statement" just added itself to the visual experience in my head. Putting them together thus felt acceptable.
